KittyKate, many thanks for your input on this topic, it is valuable to have 'insider' info, as it were.

Matt, you have helped a great many people with this thread and I've no doubt you also know what you're talking about.

    The facts remain:
*Numerous sources say that o2 mobile web will not work with o2 payg and, as reporo relies on this, it too will not work.
*Equally, there are users stating that they have o2 payg and have used reporo with no problems.

There is clearly much confusion and probably quite a complex technical situation at the heart of all this. Surely, then, ridiculing anyone's input when it is helpfully meant is not going to help anyone get their pigsback/reporo points (what this thread is for).

I do not have the technical knowledge or experience to try to help solve the confusion but hopefully everyone with some info can work together to try and resolve it.

I think the argumentative bug has migrated from the pigsback thread to this offshoot

The last thing I want to do is argue :) I just wanted to help. I know I'm correct, it's a bit frustrating to be told you're talking 'crap'. Very rude. But hey, o2 Pay and Go users, don't just listen to me, if you don't believe me, fine, I'm a random poster on a money saving site regardless of the fact I worked there!! Give o2 a call and ask them yourself. I'm not interested in Matt's 'case' as I know I'm right and I'm at work all day tomorrow anyway.

Anyway, have a nice evening all :)

I did ring O2 after trying to install O2 Mobile web and was told it is impossible, I have Reporo on the mobile and it wont load. Reporo have also verified it as being a technical issue with O2 PAYG.
Thanks Kittykate, I thought I was the only person being told I was wrong.
Matt your information has ben useful to people, but as soon as I had a problem further back in this thread, you gave up with the advice and called my comments negative.

All I can add that it worked fine on my Nokia 3200 which is on O2 Pay and Go plus the same for 2 other family members who are also on O2 Pay and Go.. had no trouble installing or using the programme on the first attempt of trying.. And have had no problems with the phone since

I suppose its worth a go.. you might get it to work fine... then again....

Pay and Go customers can access WAP but NOT use their mobile as a modem with a PC (its possible with a PDA but you'll only get wap pages). Since a full mobile web internet connection is required to pass information using Reporo, it won't work.

Sorry KittyKate, but you are wrong.

You do not need to have O2 Mobile Web enabled on your phone to use Reporo.

Reporo works fine with O2 WAP GPRS on O2 PAYG, as you would have found out if you had tried it! :)

I DID try it. It wouldn't work on my phone. If you don't need mobile web and it is working for some people, then fine, but that wasn't the issue I was raising. I was abused for saying Mobile Web isn't available on Pay and Go, which it isn't, regardless of reporo. My post isn't wrong at all in that respect :)

If it's possible on wap, on some phones (can't get it to work on my Samsung e720, but it's an unnacredited device model from carphone warehouse) then great! I had to use my voda sim to get it to work.

The poster which was very offensive and rude has been dealt with and the offending post removed by abuse.

Maybe we should compile a list of the phones it will work using wap on o2 for? Could be useful and save other MSE-er's time :)

Anyway as long as most of us can wangle it, enjoy your 50p CD/DVD and yuor 500 piggypoints :D

Thanks KittyKate! If its about the phone model (on o2 payg) then my contribution is:

It doesn't work on Sony Ericsson K750i :( despite everything my brother tried!
