  • The FAQs imply that even the MP3s may be DRM'ed, making the OP here rather misleading.

    Also, regarding promotions they say:
You simply put in the voucher code in the music voucher box on the top right hand side and then press ‘Offer includes’ this will then show you the songs available for download (these may vary depending on promotion).
Has anyone got far enough to confirm whether all their albums are 'included' with the free album voucher?
  • I keep getting my cards refused. Also, when I spoke to a 3G live chat operative, they were incredibly unhelpful and rude, just so bloody ignorant. I was so hacked off, I copied and pasted the conversation into a complaint to 3G. That was earlier today, I'm still waiting to here. Why is customer 'service' so crap in this country?? Jack, Devon.
  • This website keeps refusing my payment even though I have tried with 2 different cards, both of which work on other websites? any ideas?!!

I've had exactly the same problem with my card, yet I know I have no issues with my account. I think it was to do with the original registration. I put the name of my house on the form, yet the name doesn't appear on my bank statements (only the number).

The only thing is, there seems to be nowhere to change it. I've tried re-registering using a different email address and the voucher is now invalid!!

seems like it's too much hassle even for 5 free album downloads

Agree, and as I have a Mac, I think it is pointless. I'll wait for the next good dongle offer to come along.

Just to mention....Vodaphone pffer mobilr broadband that will wok on an Mac, and doesn't time expire. The downside is the dongle (with 1GB loaded ) cost £39.

Nicky ... you say the vodafone dongle is mac compatible but their website and shops say it isn't (athough they've been promising it soon would be all year). Have you got it up and running on a mac and if so how did you do it? If you have I'm off to buy one
  • How long does the voucher code take to come through? I registered yesterday and can log in with my information, but no code has been emailed yet. I have checked my spam folder just in case.
  • Thanks for this. I've just had one ordered for me by my Mum (as I don't have a credit card). I sometimes dog-sit for her and as she doesn't have broadband, can't use my laptop to check my e-mails there. Not good when I'm currently job seeking. This will be so handy for those times
:j I'm not supposed to be normal, I'm supposed to be me:j
 Quidco cash back since May 2010 ~ more than £83.13
Must remember to use it more, but every little helps

You say that this dongle is Apple Mac compatible but there site says it is only Windows compatible. Is this an error on Vodaphone's part? Have you actually used it on a Mac?

I had the same problem and mailed the company that is running the promo for 3.
If you have had an unsuccseful attempt then you have to wait at least 30 mins before trying again and the attempt probably failed because your registered "invoice" address doesn't match with the address your card issuer has for that card.

When you try to buy the dongle again change the delivery address to the same one as the card issuer uses.

After 4 attempts it worked for me, just have to wait for the dongle to turn up now.
  • I couldn't find five albums I wanted on Datz, so I decided not to bother with the dongle deal and just buy a few tracks direct from their site that were of interest to me.

However, despite trying with three different cards, I kept getting a 'payment' refused message from the Datz website. I make online purchases all the time so I know that there are no issues with my address not matching the credit card records.

As a result, I filled in Datz's online 'contact us' form to report the problem, only to receive an e-mail notification that my message wasn't delivered. This morning I've been trying to contact them by phone, but there's been no answer.

This is not very encouraging. Right now, I would not be hopeful about committing £10 to a dongle and getting some music at the end of it. Perhaps Moneysavingexpert should withdraw the information about this deal until the suppliers sort themselves out?
