Just having a peep while I eat breakfast, DD4 has gone to get DD2 and girls...she went way too early as her watch is still on CET so will have lots of time to 'browse' at the airport....my idea of hell, but she may just buy a newspaper and have a coffee.

Mummysaver....glad that you are sorting things out with OH....I have a 'thing' about privacy so it has always been a rule that nobody enters anyone else's room without knocking and waiting for permission, so understand a bit where he's coming from....I also have funny ideas about borrowing clothes so maybe its just me!

PP...good to see you posting....happy 'anniversary' to you and OH.

Sile caught a bird this morning and left it at the front door for me...would rather she didn't but how do you tell a cat these things! The evil white cat (sorry Sybil) was round this morning too and took some getting rid of....had to go after him with a sweeping brush, he moved fast enough to avoid being clobbered!

We haven't had many cases of swine flu here, but seems to be a given that it will spread to affect most people by winter...I am watchful of the grandchildren as it seems to affect children and elderly people worst...have told OH he should take care!

Having stir fried beef today for dinner....I like to do something easy when we have a crowd....8 to-day...still need to make DD2's bed, I hate putting on duvet covers so might leave that for her to do herself.

Thanks for the kind messages yesterday...feel better to-day but do seem to be more tired than I should be....am blaming the weight so need to make a determined effort to shift some of it...would like more energy again.

Hugs to all in need or want, congratulations to all who are celebrating and welcome to all newbies

    Morning all.
*Hurriedly checks* yes, it is still morning LOL

    Happy Birthday Tired Mum's DD1
    Congratulations PenPin & Mr PenPin

Didn't sleep at all well last night; worrying about the visit to "vet" us for suitablilty to be holiday accommodation for canines, I suppose. I soooo want to do this; I tried volunteering for a charity a few years back, but they didn't want me as I can't guarantee being well enough to do much on any given day. But having a dog staying in one's home is a whole other kettle of fish, and I can't see any reason I couldn't manage it.

Anyway, the lady is calling sometime between 18:45 and 19:00 this evening, so I can't really do any dins til she's been. I think we'll have pasta in cheese sauce - it doesn't take long, and it's a meal I can do on autopilot.

Other than that, I'd better make sure the bungalow doesn't look too much like a tip - a quick tidy round and an assault on the Dust Gremlins is called for, methinks.

Halight LOL at you forgetting to eat lunch - I've done exactly that on numerous occasions!

    Morning all :D

Have been trying to keep up with the threads even though I haven't posted. Bitsy your daughter is gorgeous :D The cake was nearly as beautiful ;) ( you and your mum are very talented!!) Halight how cute are your girls :D They are lovely! Thanks both for putting up photos.

    Happy Birthday tired mum's DD:bdaycake:

OS is a bit sporadic here at the moment. Still harvesting my salads and courgettes ;):D The house though is a bit of a tip ( long story, spending time helping family) and now DS has swineflu. Poor love lives on his own so I've had to go over with supplies etc and do my "Florence Nightingale" impression. The travelling alone takes up an hour or two. I'm leaving it a bit later today, the idea being I'd clear up here a bit. So why has the phone been ringing off the hook?:rotfl:Oh well, it will all come out in the wash :D

Mioliere, enjoy your Bastille Day celebrations.

moggins congrats on your news. Glad you're pleased, I bet OH is walking around very proud of himself. That was certainly the way it was when our old ( as in ex) neighbour fell pregnant at 42. Her DH was thought quite the stud and revelled in it :rotfl:

Sorry brain has now wandered off on its own :o So I'll just leave a pile of (((((hugs)))), feel free to help yourselves :D
You never get a second chance to make a first impression.

Not sad at all - Mr LW and I celebrate 3rd May (the date we sort of "got together", 27th May (the date I moved in with him - yes, just 24 days later!) and 13th Sept,(our actual wedding anniversary).

Imho any excuse for a celebration should be grabbed with both hands!

Well, today has been interesting. DS2 managed to stick a piece of lego up his nose  so this morning was spent in casualty. At one point it looked like they would send us to a different hospital as ours has no ent department. Fortunately they managed to remove it. I would really like a week without a visit to hospital:rolleyes:

Dinner tonight is quiche. I'm hoping to manage a trip to town to return some clothes I bought that don't fit.

Hugs to all that need them!

Have spent the last two days expecting the phone to ring with an offer for our house - wouldn't you think that a couple who came for a second viewing with a builder on Sunday morning , would be serious about offering for the house?

DH and I have spent the morning on the computer and drinking tea in peace and quiet - bliss.

DD(23) has a dental infection so needs a different meal tonight but willl make noodles with stir fry and soy sauce for the rest of us. DH can have egg and sausage if he wants and might turn the jelly in the fridge into jelly, custard and fruit layers using tall sundae glasses.

The towels I ordered in the Christy sale have just arrived and will open the box when DDs get home as they have been saying how rough and worn our old towels are.

I found out the half price perfumes site have a sale on and got loads of nail polish etc for DDs at about a fifth of the price and then made the mistake of browsing on Amazon ( some of my favourite authors have new books out - did get free postage and cheaper prices though).

Logged onto pigsback and found my points had tripled - really pleased till I found I needed triple the points for a £10 voucher and click throughs were still only 5 p!

Seem to have done nothing but spend money (had to get chimney fixed and scaffolding costs a fortune).

Hugs to everybody and see you later.
