Treacle pudding (syrup sponge), if you have sugar too.

Do you have any sugar? How old are the kids? This recipe is pretty simple but delicious, but maybe more suited to older kids (I find it alawys makes more than the serving suggestion too)

Otherwise, go to www.allrecipes.co.uk and click "recipes" in the navigation bar - you can search by keyword or by ingredients, and put a list of the ingredients you have to hand.

  • Chocolate and banana flapjacks.

Make a flapjack mix with oats, butter, and syrup. Grate the apple into it and split the mix in halves. Grease a baking dish and spread half the mix on the bottom. Chop up the banana and scatter over the mix evenly then top with the other half of the mix. Bake until golden then while it's still hot grate the chocolate over the top of it. Leave it to cool a few minutes then mark it into appropriate sized pieces. when it's cool the chocolate will have set and you have yummy pudding. Hope that helps, Cheers Lyn.
