Hello, Seaxwyn. Hope all is well with you. You've posted on other people's diaries (mine included, thank you), but not on your own for a little while. I hope this indicates a reflective period and not a difficult one.

Wishing you a good Christmas and the strength to find a way forward for the future. Good luck in 2011 to you, your other half and your children, and of course for lots of well-paid work and debt-busting.

Thanks both. I am fine, reflecting and thinking about resolutions for 2011. Enjoying the snow, I just went for a beautiful six mile run over hills near here, so am full of joy and inspiration (with freezing fingers!) My oldest two DDs have flu, so we are rethinking xmas plans - we were going to spend tomorrow with my elderly parents and young niece and nephew, that doesn't seem such a good idea with our germ cargo. Only problem is we have a massive turkey in the fridge!

merry xmas all. We did go over to my parents yesterday - they insisted they wanted us and they have both had flu jabs and the others said they'd all been exposed to flu at work or school so there was no need to stay away. The poor girls are still pretty ill though.

I've just read through all my 'new year' posts from the last four years. I was shocked by how similar they all are! Same thoughts and issues, same resolutions to be nicer to OH..... it's discouraging to see that really I am in exactly the same place I was 4 years ago and I've been ever since!

Despite that, I do love the new year and its promise of a fresh start. So I will be making resolutions once again. Among them I am resolving to accept where I am.

I don't like my job much but I know I'm lucky to have it so I will set aside all my ideas about leaving, going part-time, etc, and just stick with it for six months before even thinking about a change.

And for better for worse, I am with OH for the time being, so I will appreciate the positives, for now.

2011 will see the 10th anniversary of our moving into this house, and also the 10th anniversary of my being in debt. It hasn't been a great ten years and I don't want to be still here in another ten. I am reading very enviously of Hypno in her happy new home!
