1st of August and my debt today is £11,517.62.
That's an amazing £1,968.43 reduction from last month - mostly down to having paid of my Santander overdraft, thanks in part to a gift from my sister.
The big reductions will stop for a while now as I'm going to just pay my minimum payments while using any spare money to build up some credit in my current accounts for tax and other expenses.
It's not certain there will be any spare money anyway, as my salary is so tiny compared with my outgoings.
I'm getting lots of offers of freelance work, which is reassuring but all adding to my stress at the moment as I deal with tying up my mum's affairs, looking after my dad's, council business, and also negotiating possible separation from my partner. I'm not going to write more about that here as he does not like it aired in public (and reads this diary - Mr O'Aitch who has posted a couple of times is him). But anyway, it is all very stressful indeed.
But despite the difficult times, I am really happy about how my debt has been reducing this year. And it's August and I'm determined to have some kind of holiday with at least my two youngest children.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
