Hi Seax
Really sorry to hear about your parents, that is terrible news. I guess it is 'lucky' that you are able to be there for them, without any stress about work.
Hope things work out ok soon

Hi there Seax, sorry that things with your parents are not so great, but good that you are around for them at the moment. Having well paid full time work is only a partial benefit if you need to be constantly splitting yourself between people who are so important to you, so the change in job has come at a good time.
You know me, I always reckon people like us will work around the obstacles, and what seems a dire situation will turn out to be workable and not so bad at the end of the day. It won't be the first time, and quite possibly not the last. We should have an "ology" in it.....
As for DDs.....mine is very happily settled in her apprenticeship as a trainee dental nurse. It is good that amongst all the other worries and stresses in life that you won't have to be worrying about uni fees, one way or another.

lovelybirchtrees! How nice to hear from you! How are you?
I've been at the hospital most of my waking hours this week. Mum is having test after test and while she does not know (or is not telling) the results, it looks pretty serious. Meanwhile Dad has become disoriented and confused. We are trying to get him into a nursing home, I never imagined it could be so difficult! Fingers crossed he will get accepted by one tomorrow, so he can at least be in one place and get to know the people.
It's very sad but certainly takes my mind off my own trivial problems and is curing me of any self pity.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -
