Indeed - it is all heading in the right direction, and everything will come together in good time.
I think you sometimes forget just how far you have come over the time that I have known you. The difference in your debt, even if it is largely just the loan payments that cannot be "reborrowed" is significant. OK, so it may not be going as quickly as you want, but then life is like that!
Happy Electioneering - from FB you seem to be pretty full on with it!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
April 1st debt total: £25,215.19. That's £702.30 down on last month. Result!
I'd say that was a brilliant result. I couldn't get anywhere near that, and that's without a family to support. You should be far more proud of how well you've done than you are. Good luck with sorting out your job, and for the work you are doing for the elections.
I'd like to follow your electioneering progress on Facebook, if I may. How do I find you?"Green pastures are before me,

I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.0 -

I would also like to follow your FB progress if I may. Good luck with the election. When is it?
Well done on the debt reduction. That is ace. Just keep doing what you are doing...
Ref the management workload. I can't help you with this. I managed a team of 25 in my last job. I had to do yearly appraisals and I was crap at them. I too had people who were difficult to manage, and I never really sorted it out. I got pregnant and got made redundant instead. Can you talk to your boss about your difficult personnel?
Certainly the jobs I am applying for over here, are non managerial ones. I just don't need the stress!
Good luck with finding another role. I am applying for one, just 19hours a week, but I don't hold much help of getting it as it is a bit outside of my skill set lol.

Election is 5th May - I'm standing for election to the local council. Last year I was just 4 votes away from being elected, so the pressure is on this year. All the best for the election!!!
Chev - If you were managing a team of 25, you did the best thing by getting pregnant and taking the money! The most I ever did was 12, but one personnel person recommended that teams should be no bigger than 6 or 7.
Seaxwyn - Is there anyway that you can put some structure, deputies in, so that
- it is less stressful
- when you move the organisation copes without you
- you identify potential replacements for you
- you encourage others to get off their bums (have you read those management books about monkeys ... didn't help me at the time, but they make more sense these days)

I really have nothing to complain of as I only manage three people! But management is really not my thing. And we have a very indecisive but also autocratic director. There's a lot wrong with the place, strategy- and management-wise, and my heart's not really in it so I don't want to be part of the painful process of pulling it into shape.
I have said yes to a two-day-a-week freelance contract elsewhere, but the details have still to be agreed. I hope to work that out today or this week at least. Then I will aim to finish a project I'm working on then look for something more congenial for the three days a week.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620
