  • We took a deal with a free ipod and £60 cashback. Ipod came quickly after we sent in the gift voucher and requested ID and the money was paid into the bank after I'd sent in a copy of my first O2 bill.

  • In my view this site is not a scam.
18 Months ago I bought a phone through buymobilephones.net for T mobile with a free 19" TV gift. The phone I received the next working day, with this phone was a voucher and I had to send it along with ID, think I sent a copy of my driving license and utility bill by recorded delivery. A couple of days later I got confirmation of receipt by email but that the TV was out of stock and would take up to 28days for more to become available. However I didn't have to wait that long as I received the TV within a week. Each step was communicated to me buy email. Overall I was happy with the service, I believe if you follow their terms you can't go wrong.
With this contract up I have today bought another phone through them and expect delivery tomorrow.
On a side note buymobilephones actually sponsor derby county football club and I would think a scam company wouldn't waste money doing that.
  • The site isn't a scam.

I'm actually quite impressed with them.

I got my new phone the next working day after ordering and my free gift within 10 days of sending off my gift voucher. :j
  • Used the site twice and got two free gifts with no problems

Haven't ever used the cashback offers as i know all sites make you bend over backwards sending documents and bills on the right dates - got caught out on this once before with dialaphone (plus they know most people cant be bothered)

When does the actual contract start?
    1. When you buy the phone?
    2. When you start using the phone and port your number?
    Thanks
  • I bought a phone from this site some time ago. I didn't take the cashback option, but they sent me a new ipod as promised with the phone. Contract was the same as I would have got from the Orange shop, but the phone was free when Orange would have charged me for it, and the ipod has been great!
  • :o I personally have used buymobilephones.net twice and had absolutely no problem with them ! on both occasions i sent the required documents off to them and within 28 days i had recieved the £80 and £150 cashback and also my new phones and a nintendo wii and a 32" flat screen television ! it is a pain sending all paperwork to them and i recommend sending recorded signed for which costs about £1.04 but its worth for all the freebies !

I smell a rat. Two brand-new posters extolling the virtues of a supposedly dodgy company. Do you two work for them?

I have used buymobilephones.net for the last couple of years without a hiccup. I was dubious to begin with but did a bit of digging and all I got back was raving reviews, so I decided to give them a go. I have got an xbox 360, a laptop and over £200 in cashback plus 3 new FREE phones.
Don't be fooled in thinking this site makes no money off these deals as the phone operators pay a large sum for new customer signups, but they do have a waiting period for passing the cashback offers to the customers. Obviously they have to be paid first.
This site has been around for a long time now with a lot of satisfied customers, but like any business they do make mistakes so screaming "scam" because you haven't received the service you were expecting is a little unjust. Get in touch with them and explain the situation and hopefully they will resolve it for you.
Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.
  • We were supposed to receive a Nintendo Wii, a Wii Fit and cashback from them back in November 2009 but so far we only received 1 of the free gifts. When they sent that gift they didn't even tell us we would only get that 1 for now and they ran out of stock of the other free gift. We picked the packet up and were sitting in the car puzzling over where the other one is! Every time we call they are telling us that the other free gift is out of stock. One manager says we should get the cashback soon because this is dependent on the first free gift they shipped. The next time we are chasing them they are saying this is incorrect information and we have to wait for the 2nd free gift to be shipped. Not only that, when you are trying to call them you are stuck in an expensive queue for 40+ minutes (mind you, that is about 25 callers in the queue only, their call centre must be tiny)!
Called Consumer Direct today and they will flag them to Trading Standard.
