Thanks for the heads up Hamish. From your other posts I had mistakenly formed the opinion that we had missed the bottom and things were on the up again. Now you have confirmed the bottom is yet to arrive I can breathe easier.HAMISH_MCTAVISH wrote: »You will therefore remain a victim of confirmation bias, and like all perma-bears, miss the bottom (when it does arrive) by a very long way indeed.
As you are rapidly building a reputation as a bit of a gnu can you tell me when you think the bottom will arrive? I am not sure whether to renew for another six months at Mrs O'Flanagans lodgings.0 -

One is willing to put out their thoughts and happy to back it, the other isn't, but is only happy to ramp it.
What percentage YoY do you think it will be at at the end of the year (LR index to clarify)?:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.
Some men you just can't reach.

Roughly -6%
Though thats far more of a guess than an insightful prediction.0 -

Fair enough, I've already said it could be -1 to -2% but getting very near the 0% and an indication of stagnation in the past months / coming months.
Your only a couple of percent away from me
I'll put money on this doesn't happen though

What you've changed your mind in the last couple of months EVEN with a 20% tolerance
Yet your prepared to put a bet on the YoY percentage in 6 months time with only a couple of percent tolerance.
Maybe that's why I'm careful with my money

Lets see at Christmas hey where we are, when QE has stopped and the government have run out of borrowed money...... oh and don't forget the effects of the worst recession in 60 years to account for as well.
It does not take anyone with half a brain cell to work that one out. Like you said about the Wiley Coyote similarities, its all government meddling to see Labour scrape through the next election with at least some credit - oh, and completely f*ck it up for the Tories like they did last time.0 -
