got my shopping delivered last night, and got a bit of a laugh...I am making a scarewcrow for Halloween to put in the garden and 'fleg the bairns' and ordered T.Value Tights to make the head, £1 and I get to keep the other pair.
Anyway Tesco have this new substitute policy where if your sub is more expensive, you pay the same, therefore getting better stuff for a great price. Anyhow, it turns out that our scarecroow is going to have a weather control luxury shine tummy tucking head (and I now have 2 pairs for myself!!)
The driver must have thought I was mad when I looked at the list of subs!!
only spent £33 and that includes a bit for party on sat, so im quite happy with that!Pay £15k by Xmas10 £1478.19/£15000[STRIKE]24/07/09[/STRIKE] present - loan - £8550 overdraft#1 - [STRIKE]£2516.87[/STRIKE] £0 credit card - [STRIKE]£1210 [/STRIKE] £0TOTAL - [STRIKE]£12276.87[/STRIKE] £9133.63:T0 -
I need to learn to drive, badly!
DS childminder lives about a 20 min walk away (increased to about an hour when DS is actually there, as he needs rests and inhalors etc) but anyway, theres a bit which takes you through a little forest, over a bridge and round the back of a (very dodgy) housing estate.
not bad during the day, in fact some bits are quite pleasant, but now that its dark, i got quite frightened today, you never know who's around the corner!!
didnt get home til half 7 despite finishing work at half 5, its a nightmare!
anyway, a car is a while away so I will have to deal with it I suppose! At the mo, I am building the last 2 chairs for my new table set (gave up on that at the end of last month if you remember!) got a bit of Britney in the background, and am getting a plan of action in place for the decorating and 'horrorfying' of the house for halloween. Tricky stuff!!
Have a good evening folks! xxPay £15k by Xmas10 £1478.19/£15000[STRIKE]24/07/09[/STRIKE] present - loan - £8550 overdraft#1 - [STRIKE]£2516.87[/STRIKE] £0 credit card - [STRIKE]£1210 [/STRIKE] £0TOTAL - [STRIKE]£12276.87[/STRIKE] £9133.63:T0 -
Hi Kirstenc,
Sounds scary that bit of the walk. Is there anything you can do to protect yourself?
Is it possible to take a different route, or carry a torch and panic alarm. Would your childminder be able to drop you home?
I'd brainstorm the options if I was getting bad feelings, but maybe i'm over cautious.
Anyway, well done on the low Tesco spend, and fab tights. You'll have the best dressed scarecrow in Dundee by the sounds of it.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0
