  • hehe, yes they are cuter!! and will probaby go further, definately 3 meals whereas one big one may just last 2!!

Packed lunches are all ready today...and Im in training all week which may mean finishing a tad bit early while still being paid!

will make aforementioned mince pies tonight methinks, aplle crumble was a sucess, albeit a bit on the sickly side!

after all my mystery shops the other day, I will be getting about £50 next month, and Im pretty sure I'll do a couple more in the meantime.

still need to empty the units in the living room, so will do that when I get in! Then me and Davina are going to do a bit of a workout...hehe

  • Hi Kirstenc

Long time no speak. Went on hols, (fab time:j), and then back to school, work  etc.

I am the queen of procrastination and haven't started a diary yet !!:o

Anyway have caught up with your diary now and it seems you are doing well. Go girl. :j:beer: (we all have glitches, it's human nature).

  • OMG...what a day, me and OH nearly ended it (well he did) out of the blue and just told me that hes too young and feels that he isnt living his life etc.

Goodness, never been so shocked in my life, was pretty devestated. But we spoke, and I think all this has just dawned on him, and he felt a bit overwhelmed. He has said that splitting up isnt what he wants, and that hes just relieved to get it all off his chest.

talk about a rubbish start to the week.

I can see that I have been a little selfish, and havent really been listening to what he wants, we did move very fast until he moved in, and all of the debt was mine in the first place and not his.

So today, I blew £100 on EVERY James bond DVD in a limited edition box set, was half price in HMV, and I got points too, so still a bargain (and I know that theres gonna be about £600 left in the account again on payday so not really too much of an extravagence) and we spent some time together, cosying and chatting etc, just being in each others company and not worrying about money constantly.

It has opened my eyes a bit and perhaps relaxed me and given me a bit of perspective, I know that the debts need paid, and I still have the dreams etc, but I need a happy and healthy relationship too, in order for it to be worthwhile.

Crikey this is heavy bedtime reading, sorry guys, but im glad I have it off my chest!

Ill be back tomorrow with a financial update lol

(((((hugs)))) Really glad you managed to talk before things went too far. Just keep telling each other you love each other, keep doing the little things, and keep spending time together. There are lots of ways to do that the MSE way - free cinema tickets, mystery shopping takeaways, homecooked favourite meal after a tough week, an early night ... ;) Actually don't take any of my advice as I am not so great at relationships!

^^^ are you going out with my ex !? Thats almost exactly what he did in June.

Hugs. You talked that's the main thing isn't it. Easy to fall in to a rut and think that everything is 'ok'.
Good on the perspective front though.
    Wishing you a better day

  • Hope all is ok this morning. It can be a pain living on a strict budget and the nagging etc etc.
Ive done it but i also have learnt you have to step back and treat yourself and the OH once in a while.
I planned on spending £20 the other day for lunch and little did i know a special offer was on so i only spent £10 with a couple of drinks also.
The OH wanted a dessert but i said no as i was planning and extra few pound onto my credit cards. Then decided against this and said this can give us annother afternoon lunch later in the month. Its money i would of spent anyway so we are getting two lunches for one and so spend some time together treating ourselves. Keeps the debts down and the relationship happy i guess.
