Kristen, we all have those moments, give me a week and ill be cracking up again.
Your doing really well. Can you try and budge the OH to £80 a week instead of £100 ?
Go have a scream and youll feel better0 -
Kirsten....your OH says exactly the same thing as my OH. It must be a man thing.
He does eventually do things (he would say if I nag) though. Just never when I want him to.
Have a scream and then start again! I may even scream with you sometimes ha haDFW Nerd #11520 -
OH isnt helping with his incessant 'Ive been at work all day, Im not going to do that' but then 'weekends are the only time I have off work, I dont want to spend them working'
That just means hes never gonna help out!
Mr. Fire Fox is like that. He works really hard, but then he will only get up in time to go to work, obviously doesn't want to do chores when he gets in from a late shift, and then wants a day off on his day off! :rolleyes:Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Thank Goodness im not the only one lol (Its definately a man thing lol)
Though I was going mad!!
Hi to the new posters too (nice to see a new face!)
I had a nice scream (yes nice scream not ice cream) and a bit of a cry earlier, OH is at the pub...I can see the £ signs going down the drain lol.
On the plus side I got an email from my national lottery account, I have played the euro millions online a couple times...anyway, they told me I had a credit of a couple quid so I played a couple of instant win games, and have just transferred £20 into my bank!
Thank for keeping me focussed guys, it would have been easy for me to just decide that its not worth the hassle, but it really is! And I can see how much of a benefit its going to have on us all!
Plus I have a takeaway mystery shop tomorrow night so OH will be happy!!
Thanks again guys for the support! xPay £15k by Xmas10 £1478.19/£15000[STRIKE]24/07/09[/STRIKE] present - loan - £8550 overdraft#1 - [STRIKE]£2516.87[/STRIKE] £0 credit card - [STRIKE]£1210 [/STRIKE] £0TOTAL - [STRIKE]£12276.87[/STRIKE] £9133.63:T0 -
Right, today is the day...the living room is going to be completed...
I hope!!
My brother got rushed to hospital last night, which is obviously a worry to everyone as he is only 19...shouldnt be having to many health propblems!!
So that means that DS isnt going to be staying with mum tonight so we are going to be carting him about all day (will even have to take him to Tesco...I will not give in!)
I have 5 mystery shops today, 2 on same street and 2 in town plus one home delivery takeaway so its busy busy today!!
The living room must be done today, I am fed up! The chimney breast needs wallpapering with this funky purple and cream wallpaper I got ages ago, and then Im moving stuff around to go in with the theme.
My mum is buying the wall unit coffee table and TV unit for £100 so thats going on the OD (shes paying in installments though cos she doesnt have the cash!)
Anyway I'll be back later for an updatePay £15k by Xmas10 £1478.19/£15000[STRIKE]24/07/09[/STRIKE] present - loan - £8550 overdraft#1 - [STRIKE]£2516.87[/STRIKE] £0 credit card - [STRIKE]£1210 [/STRIKE] £0TOTAL - [STRIKE]£12276.87[/STRIKE] £9133.63:T0 -

You are not alone. I've noticed quote a few threads with people feeling the procrastination blues. ! There is a little book recommended on Pickles diary called The Now Habit by Neil Fiore, certainly going to investigate further. It seems you get to treat yourself rather than beat yourself up all the time when you haven't done this that and the other...
So you are totally allowed to watch a movie on nice new gigantic TV, it's not there to gather dust. Me I'm a total movie addict, nothing better than a hour and a half of escapism. Think are conciences (sp?) are far too guilty these daysDC.

Oh a book about procrastination. I can see irony in there somewhere! But if it means I don't have to do anything
I'll have a look at that and see if it helps!
I am the queen of procrastination sometimes! Glad u r feeling better about things kirsten. Hope ur brother is okay and ur living room looks nice !DFW Nerd #11520 -
Decorating....AAAARRRGGG!!!!
Why is it that its never done. Once you finish one its time to do another and when they are all done the first room again needs decorating.0 -
haha, Jonny I know exactly what you mean lol, but were halfway there with the living room now, just need to get rid of all the old furniture and find places for the new bits and bobs.
But the canvas is done, its got the handprints and signatures of the 3 of us, it now has pride of place on the chimney breast. Its in different shades of the purple colour that is in here now.
that book sounds really good lol BH your right, read it and then end up not doing anything else lol, but it sounds like a decent read!!
I have just ordered my mystery shop takeaway, so Im away to chow down and have fun!! watching LA confidential too with a beer or 2! relaxing evening!!Pay £15k by Xmas10 £1478.19/£15000[STRIKE]24/07/09[/STRIKE] present - loan - £8550 overdraft#1 - [STRIKE]£2516.87[/STRIKE] £0 credit card - [STRIKE]£1210 [/STRIKE] £0TOTAL - [STRIKE]£12276.87[/STRIKE] £9133.63:T0 -
