Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
The thing is with these sales I think they are devisive, every year there are people who aren't picked or don't get notified early enough etc and there are others that are disillusioned. You ring them and they have an 'we are the best and don't need you' air and to be frank it makes me think, well stuff you.

They are seriously overpriced as their sale is testament to. Even at sale prices they are still more expensive than quite a few shops.

A couple of years ago they completely lost one of my bags which meant that half the things in the other bags were not suitable as they had been picked to go together. last year one large item I was told would be delivered by a courier I waited in 3 times with promised times for it never to arrive and I ended up cancelling - do they care, no.

Can i ask why you ordered bags of things from somewhere you claim is seriously overpriced?

    Not bitter much..........

Order the stuff you REALLY want by quickshop then checkout, then get straight back on and relax a bit ordering everything else. You will be charged more than one delivery but email them after and they credit one back. (They have done this for me on the last 2 sales)

Then sit and wait for the new thread about who gets their delivery by Saturday (They swear it cant happen but always does lol)

Then sit back and watch the new thread about returns. (Do it instore next week. Dont risk parcels going missing. Its chaos this time of year)

    Think I am an addict!!
Thanks. I have given all the things we like a rating - anything below a 4 doesn't get ordered and all the 5's will get ordered first!!

No I said that they are overpriced normally as the sale is testament to. ( I bet you will find that the items are made in the same sweatshops that Primark use!)

I don't like Next's attitude around sale time (and I have experienced a good 10) and you will find when you have been on these forums for as long as I have that there will be plenty of people on here soon who feel aggrieved at the way the Next sale VIP slots are allocated etc. It is devisive and annoys LOTS of people, I actually always get offered a slot.

Sale items are 50% of normal and are almost certainly still within profit, so their mark up is huge normally. Would you not also be feeling annoyed having had the experiences ove r2 sales that I have?

See - Firecracker is a case in point. N20 - I am surprised that you disagree with my post when you yourself complained that this is the first sale invite you have had in years and that you don't believe it is random, therefore their sale policy is not good, as you seem aggrieved about no previous invitation!

I thought I did well to get the 6am slot on Thursday, but it seems the Wednesday ones were released first ( I hadn't got an invite on mine until last night when the rest of you had already)

I was chuffed when I saw a cardigan was back instock that I missed out on last time, and in the sale listing too - but now I don't want it to get sold out on the Wednesday VIP slots.

If I buy it at full price now, and then if it is still there on Thursday morning when I have my VIP slot and buy it again at half price, can I send back the one I bought at full price and get the full amount back??? ITMS???

I don't mind paying for the delivery twice as I've bookmarked a few other bits to buy on Thurs if any of it is left!!!

I see that most of the stuff has sold out. Last night there were 114 pages of kids clothes and now there are only 79 pages. I think someone has found a code to buy early

I would imagine so. What I don't think you can do is buy an item at full price, return it to a shop during the sale at full price and then try and buy it immediately back from the shop at the sale price. Someone tried this while I was in the store in the last sale and weren't allowed to do it, something to do with if it is a directory return the shop need to send it back to the Directory. However if all you plan to do is return the full price item, provided you have your receipt (so they credit back the full price) I can't see there would be a problem.

More likely to be staff buying it before the sale starts I imagine.
