i just cant stand the fact that i always miss out on next sale online due to this vip business.....any way of cheating and buying before hand??? someone must have cracked something!:mad:0

No documentaries like that do not interest me but Im sure if they did use sweatshops they would be exposed by now like Primark. Even if they do then they must be more skilled and using better quality material as you cant even compare it with Primark for quanity and style. I went into Primark a few weeks ago and walked straight ut the limited choice of clothes were poor and sizes ridiculously out.
ANyway thats not the issue here as were all here to ENJOY the Next VIP sale
How can you not be interested? Don't you care about your fellow man?
Strange following your link I am not reassured at all! Why send your manufacturing outside the UK if you are not trying to get cheap labour! With all the complaints I feel QED. You yourself are complaining which just makes a farce of your saying that I am wrong!
You are spending good money on goods made in teh same factory as Primark and to believe that they can't be using the same factories as Primark or you would know is exceptionally naive. They make more profit and therefore employ better spin doctors and PR than Primark!
I still maintain that even though I have been invited to every sale for at least the past 5 years their sale 'random' selection is unfair and EVERY year there are people on here complaining. Maybe it isn't devisive maybe amongst the vast majority of UK population with an IQ of 100 it is clever marketing to 'select' certain people as VIP. ( A phrase I find very devisive, but maybe others when they get it think oh yes I am a VIP! and overspend and feel special!)
Also with regard to their criteria I am very surprised I fulfil it, one says they have criteria another that it is random!!0 -

Then they can't be made in sweatshops like Primark. From www.child-labour.org,
The production of ethical clothing is more about the workers and the countries that make the products than the buyers or consumers. Sri Lanka is one of the leaders in this growing trend. This third world country often faces criticism about its dismal human rights record, but its main exports-tea and garments-are gaining global recognition as goods produced under excellent environments that protect workers' rights. The country's garment factories, which were once similar to sweatshops in Hong Kong and China, have transformed. Some have even installed automatic cash machines and provided accommodations for workers (Samath 2007). The industry label and PR campaign: "Made in Sri Lanka: Garments without Guilt", is aimed at differentiating Sri Lanka from mounting competition from China and India by producing clothes the ethical way. Products such as "ethical teas" and "ethical bras", which market not only the products but also the labour conditions under which they were produced, have gained significant consumer loyalty in the U.S. and European markets.0 -
Well thank you Newbie, but I still have my doubts that things are as they are made to appear. However I am perturbed to notice that increasingly on clothes labels there is no made in country. I still feel though that the 'VIP' sale is not on, how many people have voiced displeasure on this thread?0

Can't say I've ever noticed a label without a made in country. But yeah I do feel that the VIP sale is rubbish, I've never got a slot and when I've been able to buy it's only the tat that no one wants that's left. I take a look now and only buy a few bits if I absolutely must have it.0

So you're now just having doubts where as before you were preaching as if it was gospel, lets be honest you do not have a clue....patchwork_cat wrote:You are spending good money on goods made in teh same factory as Primark and to believe that they can't be using the same factories as Primark or you would know is exceptionally naive.
