from what i can remember, you are limited to a certain number of items per shopping basket. You can do more than one order within your time slot though. people who have lots to order, and know what they want, usually write the numbers down first, then start keying them in when their slot starts. i think its something like 50 items per order - may be wrong - i usually order about 20 things. i know what its like for growth spurts (have a nearly 2 and nearly 5 year old!). nothing much there for 5yr old boys this time
Thanks - I have got a list of all the items I want and the codes and it is currently smaller than 50 items so may not be a problem.

Our daughter is 16 months old and I have got some things in there ranging from 18 months old up to 4 years old. I do find Next sizing to be a bit weird at times. She has a 12-18 month top that she wore at the weekend that was tight but when I put a 12-18 month t-shirt on her this morning it reached to her knees!!

The thing is with these sales I think they are devisive, every year there are people who aren't picked or don't get notified early enough etc and there are others that are disillusioned. You ring them and they have an 'we are the best and don't need you' air and to be frank it makes me think, well stuff you.

They are seriously overpriced as their sale is testament to. Even at sale prices they are still more expensive than quite a few shops.

A couple of years ago they completely lost one of my bags which meant that half the things in the other bags were not suitable as they had been picked to go together. last year one large item I was told would be delivered by a courier I waited in 3 times with promised times for it never to arrive and I ended up cancelling - do they care, no.

i know what you mean about sizes!! ive found if i buy the basics jeans, they are shorter than the dearer ones - which means they dont last as long and you ending up spending again! mothercare are another one with wierd sizes for us - wide bodies, but short in length (my kids are long bodied so no good for them).
i dont think the sale is that good this year. to be honest, if i hadnt been going away on saturday, i'd have just gone down to the shop instead of doing online. For anyone who lives in wigan, the one in the new shopping arcade is usually empty at 6am with lots of stuff left - everyone else goes to robin park!

We (or rather H!) will probably do a store at the weekend as we often find different things there. I was disappointed in the knitwear and dresses as they had hardly any that I liked for girls. Also nightwear in my daughters size was rather lacking. Still I managed to find a few bits for her......

H however has advised me he has found 8 pairs of shoes he likes!!! Have told him to reduce it down from that as he only really needs 3 pairs (2 for work and 1 casual) and I can't be doing with ordering lots and then sending back. I try and only order the things I know we like.

I disagree with the prices, unless your comparing them to bargain shops such as primark etc which you cant do as Next are good quality! For example their childrens clothes are MUCH cheaper than in debenhams,BHS, M&S, littlewoods even adams and last MUCH longer. The womens clothing (pre sale) is same price as dorothy perkins etc

I think some are bitter they didnt get a VIp slot

Order the stuff you REALLY want by quickshop then checkout, then get straight back on and relax a bit ordering everything else. You will be charged more than one delivery but email them after and they credit one back. (They have done this for me on the last 2 sales)

Then sit and wait for the new thread about who gets their delivery by Saturday (They swear it cant happen but always does lol)

Then sit back and watch the new thread about returns. (Do it instore next week. Dont risk parcels going missing. Its chaos this time of year)

    Think I am an addict!!

my orders come via citylink now as oppsoed to parcelline as my courier got agressive with me and i had to make a serious complaint so my order will take ages as it takes 3-4 days for normal orders!

I sent an email asking why i had repeatedly failed to receive a slot and got the following reply:
I am sorry you were not selected to receive a VIP sale slot, customers are selected randomly. However, on this occasion I am able to offer you a time slot on Thursday between 8-9. Please sign in onto My Account.

i agree about the quality being good. i find their jeans last until the kids grow out of them, the same with the tops. i got the little one's vests from next - have lasted far longer than the asda ones did. I only buy things i need in the sale - its easy to get carried away. ive got stuff earmarked for next year - eg trainers, tshirts.
i agree its annoying when you dont get an invite (its happened to me before) but there are worse things in life to worry about - just my opinion!
