All you energetic people tire me out! DGD2 is here for the week and asked me to sleep with her...then wouldn't let me sleep on 'my' side of the bed so kept waking up, really need to pull myself together and find myself some kind of routine which will wake me up for at least some of the day!
Bitsy....beautiful little girl, congratulations on the cake, I would never even think about doing something like that, would give me a nervous breakdown!
Halight....what lovely girls...are they identical? They are really doing well.
Raining heavily here, so no washing to-day, or gardening, if it stops later might have a go at some of the weeds, easier to take out of soft ground....
Got a new phone in the post from DS2 this morning....for my birthday...hate it when I get a new phone as it takes me ages to get used to one.
I seem to be in a grouch mode this morning, fed up with myself really as I hate grumpy people but still can't think of any positives, sorry
Hugs to all in need or want....will be back when I have rejoined the land of the civilised!

Afternoon all.
Am in my usual Monday bleurgh state today. Yesterday I was soooo busy - loads of baking (why put the oven on twice, when you can just put it on once?;)), loads of cleaning and general house maintenance; also got next year's calendar finished and printed out to put in the kitchen, and a 40th anniversary card done for the landlord and landlady of our favourite pub.
Mr LW has just had a phone call from a lady who runs a dog-sitting franchise; I emailed and asked if we'd be suitable as a host family, so she wants to come and visit.:o I hope she says yes! As I'm at home all day, it seems a good idea - I think we'd be able to provide a lovely home-from-home for older dogs particularly. Just depends if she thinks I'm too disabled to be able to cope. Please all keep fingers crossed - I think she's visiting tomorrow evening. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Wow purpleprincess you have been busy. You've put me to shame
I've done not much today, felt too tired.
The potential new client cancelled due her daughter being poorly. They are off on hols for a few weeks so will have to see if she rings me when they get back.
Just walked up to the local library and borrowed a couple of cookery books and one on yoga :money: Got caught in a very very heavy down pour of rain but luckily had my waterproof and kids were in double buggy under the "bubble". they looked well cosy in there too. it's really muggy aswell so am damp and sticky now.
Meanmarie - :grouphug: for you. We can't be happy all the time
Lamewolf - good luck with dog sitting. Hope they pick you.
Hilstep - sorry to hear about your ex-FIL.
NPM - hope scan results come fast for you.
Mummysaver - hope you and your OH manage to sort out your differences.
Bargainbird - glad your christening went well.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
All will be well in the end. If it's not well, it's not the end.Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars0 -
mummysaver - Hope you get to sort things out x

Halight I keep meaning to ask how is your wife finding it back at work? I quite enjoyed the break from home when I went back after DD was born. It wasn't feasible after DS2 though.
Meanmarie ((hugs)) we all have days like that xx
Mummysaver Hope you get it worked out.
Hillstep ((hugs))
Purpleprincess I could do with you here for a day to get the freezer stocked up for the holidays :rotfl: WTG!
I've had a nice hour reading this afternoon & have just got the DW going after tea. The meatballs were a hit and DD, DS1 & DS3 have gone their seperate ways now to see their various friends. Only DS3, me & the dog here now. It'll be an early bath for me tonight. Hope everyone has a nice evening.

Good evening all. I'm making my weekly appearance here.
I'm still not caught up here and have decided I'm just going to go forward from today. So if I've missed something, please forgive me.
Halight, your twin girls are gorgeous!!! Thanks so much for sharing the pics of them. Double the trouble and double the joys.
Bitsy, your lil one is gorgeous as well. I'm very impressed with the cake. With my talents or lack thereof in the decorating department, I know better than to try something like that. :rotfl:
The kitchen disaster flat is having the cabinets etc fitted in the morning. I wanted to get the wallpaper up first, however the kitchen fitter has a free time slot so will grab him when I can.
There are 2 viewings tomorrow for both flats so hoping for some good people to show up. It's nice to know our landlord trusts my judgment on that and is of the same mind in regards to the tenants in here. He isn't able to make it up here tomorrow so I'll do the showings. I wish the one flat was completely finished but it ought to be within the week. YAY!!! I'm ready for a break from it.
Today was more work in disaster kitchen flat aka flat 2. Then I hauled all the old bathroom fixtures, toilet, sink etc to the skip out on the street. Just a bit more stuff to clear out and I can run the hoover in there and get it as good looking as I can for the viewings tomorrow. Hopefully the kitchen will be fitted by the time they get here.
Tea tonight was corned beef hash with an egg on top and peas. Simple quick and good.
Off here now to get the rest of the mess from the bathroom fitting out to the skip before I refuse to get out of this chair.;)
((((((((((((((((((Hugs))))))))))))))))))))))) to all who want and/or need them. Hope to see you all tomorrow.
Peyton xxTake the first step.
Even if you cannot see the whole staircase,
Just take the first step.
