Penny_Pincher - Hope you had a better night x
((((HUGS)))) to all in need of some.
Well, the DW is on and I've made a "to-do" list because there are odds and ends I keep forgetting to do, such as drop the Avon catalogue back to the rep (usually do this as she only lives up the road and it's one door fewer for her to knock at) and return some library books. Oh, and put a prescription request in at the surgery. Also looks as if a (hopefully brief) visit to a supermarket may have to happen as we need a few bits we can't get anywhere else! Oh well, shouldn't be too bad as schools haven't broken up yet.
Be back later :wave:0 -

Hello all!!
Well, I've got a day off day and a bit of time spare before Mr Tesco turns up so thought I would post on the daily! Spending my day off having a massive cook up for the freezer, it's looking rather sorry for itself and will make life easier when sorting out dinners when only got half an hour between jobs.
Survived my first year of uni and teaching placement, am very chuffed and now working my socks off to get some money together to pay my bills for the summer and try and get some cash behind me before starting again in September.
Hope all are well, nice to see some familiar faces and some new ones too. Will come back later and let you know what I've been cooking!!xx

mummysaver wrote: »Sometimes you just know you've spoken too soon, don't you! After my rave about oh yesterday we managed to finish last night with him stomping off into the darkness! He was in a strop about my ex staying here, to be honest I can see his point, but if he didn't stay here then I'm worried that the kids wouldn't see him at all, a rock and a hard place jump to mind! He was also sniffy about the kids leaving their stuff in my room, I've always let them use my room but for him it's an invasion of privacy! Ah well, guess we'll work it out, relationships are tricky when ex's and kids are involved.
Oh hun I am sorry to hear this, I hope I am not speaking out of turn here, but its very early on for him to be stropping over such things, and if you have always let the kids use your room, then why should that stop just cos he says so
, its YOUR room, does he have kids himself ? I dont mean to upset you
, but it seems a bit soon for him to be laying down the law.
Bitsy your dd is simply beautiful, and the cake wow well done xx
Halight your twins are also beautiful, I can see you have your hands full there
Ok I have washed two loads, which are on the line, hoovered top to bottom, mopped floors, cleaned kitchen and bathroom, and done an online shop.
Going to potter in the garden for a bit, and then get myself off to meet dd, and get measured for new bras.
Have fun all xx0 -
Hi
Back from docs....tablets seem to be working as had a couple of migraine free days last week but it will take a few weeks to sort completely so she has given me sick note for this week and next. Scan results not back yet but they are faxing them today and doc will let me know.
Called at school to check DS.....he had seen speech therapist and was doing sports day altho I wont say he was enjoying it:rolleyes:...as no other parents were there he let me come back home..I think as we only got to know about it this morning no one could get time off to come to it.
Today I am doing meal plans for the school hols.
Mummysaver sorry to hear about your fall out last night....it is difficult to get everything working at first when you already have kids and there is an ex around:rolleyes:....DS and I were on our own a year or so before I met OH, and DS only sees his dad from Fi night till Sun morning every other weekend. I think maybe part of the problem for your OH is the fact that your ex is staying at your house with the kids and it may be a little close for comfort...is there no other way he can see them which would avoid that? I don`t see the problem with the kids things being in your room really, you and the kids are obviously very close and had a routine/lifestyle there before he came on the scene and he has to respect that too...I hope you get to talk to him and try to sort it out....it doesnt happen overnight unfortunately...we had teething problems at first but after almost 3 years things are ticking along nicely.
Forgot to say earlier that DS was doing some michael jackson moves in the kitchen this morning and did the "hee hee".....i nearly wet myself laughing and it made me think of Bo Selecta and michael Jackass lol0 -
Hi there
I seem to be MIA a bit lately.
Had a great day yesterday at a local rally and the kids loved it even more. Was a muddy bog pit in the morning when we got there at 6.30am!! Three changes of clothes later and was time to come home. That tired that they fell asleep in the car and pretty much stayed that way till 5.30 this morning.
Am now on my new hours at work so off monday and friday and 8-2.30 tue-thur am loving it and seem to have found a new found bond with the boys. It's fab getting home to get them sorted and fed before they are too tired!!
Well os wise today loads of washing from the weekend. One load was yesterdays alone!! Kitchen and bathrooms to clean and hoover the house. Why is it that it never feels like you catch up with cleaning :rotfl::rotfl:
Not sure what dinner is tonight as my mum did the shopping and no idea what she bought. I like to keep simple meals like pasta for work days and cook a bit more on my days off. Although, today am so tired can't motivate myself to do anything
Bitsy - Your photos are fab she looked adorable and as for the cake...I wish I could do something like it :T
Halight - Twins, credit to you both they are just beautiful. My two are 18mths apart and thats a handful
NPM - Hope sports day happens for you and not too stressfull for the little guy.
Hope the weather picks up soon as everytime I go out another shower starts!!
bye xAlthough I get lonely  as a single mother there are always two smiling angels ready to give me the biggest hug in the world. Love you babies :grouphug:
Fear is a disease....Hope is it's only cure!0 -
The jackpot didn't go off. Maybe next week.
I won twice though so all was not lost. I only had soup for tea so was hungry when I got home so just made some porridge. Lots of brown sugar & milk on top. Filled the spot on a cold night.
Bitsy Your DD looked lovely & the cake was fantastic.
halight They are adorable. My father was a twin. It must be so hard when they are babies.
Prinny Lovely to hear from you & glad uni is going well.
Off to have a surf and then hit the sack. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Morning OS lovelies!
Stef - Hope everything goes well with your daughter.
Noahs - Glad to hear that the migraines are easing
Oh ruby - I have had whiplash so I can sympathize. I DO hope you feel better. It takes a few days to get over the shock I think as much as anything. Just take it easy and don't do too much.
Meanmarie - I know just what you mean, I miss going to the shops now I can't so much. am used to shopping online but I miss touching things!
Squiggles - great to see you back and congratulations on the 2:1.
JackieO -Your grandchildren are very lucky to have a nan like you.... mine died when I was very young and I grew up feeling rather deprived.
Bitsy - lovely photos - she looks like a little angel and the cake is gorgeous
Essex Girl - Hope you feel a bit better as the day goes on.
Halight - Cute twins!
bargain - glad the christening went well
Teresita - good to see you posting
Woke up to the sound of the cat being ill all over the house. *sighs*. She had wolfed down her breakfast way too fast and her tummy can't take it. What a way to be dragged out of a really nice dream I was having! Consequently I am now still feeling tired and a bit out of sorts though I am sure that will wear off.
I put the WM on earlier and my home help is now hanging it out on the line. We are risking it as its lovely and windy and the sky isn't totally grey. My grandad used to say if you could make a pair of trousers for a sailor out of the blue between the clouds then it wouldn't rain. Have to admit it would have to be a pretty small sailor today!
Yellow stickered sausages with mash and more green beans from the garden for dinner. Not gardening weather really but it rained most of the night so it should all be doing well. Will have to get the OH to tend to the greenhouse though.
I hope you all have gentle starts to the week. Here is a squeeezy hug for anyone who would like one..
Diva.xTo be frugal, you need to spend money wisely, simply spending less is not enough. If you can't handle me at my worst then you don't deserve me at my best...Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I will try again tomorrow.0 -
mummysaver (((hugs))) to you , sods law isnt it ? just when you say say something it all goes t*ts up, I hope your ok and lets face it you going to put your kids first x
