good morning all
As Sexy says..."Good luck Valli & fedup! Hope all goes well and you're both successful. "
Well I have given in - after another evening of going to bed way too early 7pm and having a rough night I have admitted that I cannot go to work this morning. I have phoned the GP who was as much use as a chocolate tea pot!!
The receptionist insisted that I call NHS Direct first - although this is not the advice onthe NHS Driect websit (it says if you have at least two symptoms must call your GP). So I duly called the given number - only to be given the exactly same advice as the website including at the end - your next action should be.......wait for it........ call your GP.
So back I go and phone GP - she seemed a little flustered that I had called back. Takes my number and GP will call me back. I am not sure if I have SF but feel really rough with bad bad headache that nothing will touch, aches, fatigue, nausea, dodgy tummy , sore throat - basically yuk. GP tells me on the phone that although I have many of the symptoms the defining one appears to be a high fever which I do not have - slight temperature but not raging- (I never get high temps even with colds /flu in the past). Anyway given that I am asthmatic he is going to treat with anti virals anyway - so now have to figure how I will get these as not supposed to go out...... Viral dump at hospital 15 miles away - too far for DS to walk.
Right - rant over - on the positive side I will be able to fly more when I am feeling a little better - off to bed now - see you later.

Morning ladies,
Boodle - go for the studying, i just finished my first year as a mature student, it is one of the best decisions i have made. I waited until my daughter started school and so far i am managing to fit everything in.
Good luck Valli and Fedup - no idea what for as i havent managed to catch up on the whole thread:o
Toots - hope you are ok, if you are thinking about a holiday in madeira i would highly recommend it, i would love to go back. This is where we stayed, it is on the south of the island. If i get a chance to go back i will, but will also visit the north of the island with its natural swimming pools and waterfalls.
Need to go work my way through my washing mountain:eek:The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Soappie - by law the EA has to put an offer to the vendors within 24 hours. Also, they can't discriminate just because the others are getting mortgage through EA's FA. They may of told the vendors that they can progress the sale better with other couple because of this, but to me that's wrong as any FA will work with an EA. A mortgage in principle should be ennough for the EA, it makes me cross as yet again some EA's are giving us a bad name because of their practices. I don't and won't discriminate, it's the one who looks like they can complete the first that I would advise vendors to go with, but nothing is written in stone and what may seem like a straightforward sale can sometimes take the longest. To love and be loved is the greatest happiness of existance - Sydney Smith0

Off to update my list, Penny. x
I managed to:- Take out washing and sort another 30 min load which is now out.
- Wash breakie stuff.
- Put away clean underwear.
- Cleaned the toilet top to bottom, the sill and the floor shelf thing behind toilet whatever its called...
- Cleaned sink, edge of bath and tiles. Will need to finish bath later as baby wanted a feed and DD began with the "Where are you?!", "I miss you!" and "I want yous!" bless her.
Thanks everyone for the support regarding taking up study. I probably need a bit of nagging anyway (sorry, a support system) so all is welcome
Love and compassion to all x0
