irie I have been wondering about you and your nocturnal marking etc - how are you honey? I hope you will be able to have a relaxing break and get into better bedtime routines - I am very impressed by your list of 5 - very sensible and 1 &2 will be very helpful too. :T:T:T

    love and hugs
    toots xx

Thanks Toots hope you are feeling well. I have completed 3 of my 5 now so on track for completing the lot. Most important I have set up my Things to do station and I think it will work for me this time. In the past I have started very keen and kept loosing the list or not going back to it for ages or starting another list somewhere else result: not a lot of success. Once I discipline myself and put it back each time I should eliminate that. Another frequent pitfall of mine is to fill the list with an unrealistic amount and then only doing the easy ones and not making significant difference. This time I can choose to do high or low priority items fully aware of their relative importance and stop conning myself.

I have completed all my marking and reports and met all my deadlines so I am managing a bit earlier bedtime. Still after midnight but I am feeling much better for the extra couple of hours. It means that I have to leave a few things undone but it’s worth it to be less of a zombie. I have to survive 4 and a half more days then I will be alright. I am soo going to be better organised for next year because I don’t want another year like this. Even if it means that my house is like a recycle centre with all the junk in labelled boxes it will be better than living on a landfill.

Right off to declutter LR floor before bed.
    irie.

    Hi everyone

Sorry things have gone from manic to manic & nutty here. Got a letter from the council offering us a house, completely thrown me off focus as we were not expecting it. We've been and had a look this evening. There is many negatives but many positives too, main one being secure tenancy. Space is what it lacks compared to this house. No garage, utility or conservatory aswell as the LR being smaller, oh and the garden. However with some small downsizing and careful planning we THINK we can do it. House is a prefab type which initially bothered DP and I do need to check rules with asbestos panels. Main positive being rent difference, about £32 a week at least, so it's can we afford to say no.

We're off there again tomorrow minus children to look without them driving us nuts, measure up better see where things would go. It's in a different area but I'd want to keep DS2 at same school and drive him there initially if we do take it, about 6 miles away. DPs Dad lives in the same area and has offered to help with childcare (he retired last week) when they are in this country as they do plan to buy somewhere abroad too. I hate moving house but DP says he thinks we need to, he struggles to sleep and settle with the worry of 2 months notice. We have appliances, as long as they still work, we need carpets, curtains etc then the crossover in rent as we'd keep this years hols and put notice in from September.

ARGH I don't know what to do!!! :rotfl: can't see me getting much sleep tonight.

Anyway flying, very little, assignment work even less, packing some done, stress levels on 100%!

Goodnight all xx will let you know what we decide to do
One day I might be more organised...........

    Morning All

Good Luck Valli and Fedup - hope it goes well - which of course I'm sure it will do as you'll both be great!

Have a good day all - I won't be in from work until about 8.30 so doubt if I'll catch up tonight.

    Hugs

Good luck vibes for Valli and Fedup 1.gif

lil-me that is a dilemma - can see why you want the security, but how important is the space to enabling your family to function?

irie - glad you are getting more sleep. Could you write yourself a letter to read next year reminding yourself how bad things were when you hadn't got organised?
