ok last week I neglected the house... but here's a brand new shiny thread and I'm full of good intentions!

hmm...now where to start with my 5 jobs?

    1. big declutter of bedroom - DONE - not perfect but a lot tidier
    2. sort out and file paperwork - DONE - why was I keeping half that stuff?
    3. declutter and clean kitchen cupboard of doom! - DONE - breadmaker freecyled
    4. finish skirt I'm making - DONE
    5. tidy up in garden, dead head etc - DONE

still a lot of clutter to sort/fling but doing the above jobs has certainly made an impact. sorted floordrobe and decided I need to order some more shoe boxes - or do I just have too many shoes?

Quick question....how do you transfer the funds from your paypal account to your bank account? Ive never tried it before, is it pretty straight forward?

I have about £140 sitting in limbo......

I've only done it once but if I remember correctly...you have to link a bank account to your paypal account and then just request the money to be transferred, it was quite simple though as that's why I can't remember how I did it!

Toots - thanks for that, unfortunately our finanaces are horrible cos as a single Mum I got into a whole heap of debt which is affecting us big time. we can just about afford to pay the minimum payments on the loans/cards, pay utilities and petrol, eat sparingly and pray that either of the cars don't break down [need 2 because of work]. I have managed to get rid of all surplus costs as much as poss and we are now living to within the penny of our income. Its about time someone realised that Teaching Assistants are invaluable in the classroom and should be paid what they are worth!!!

Anyway, no flying done this afternoon as it was sports day so will catch up tomorrow

Hugs to everyone, I just LOVE this forum, everyone is so friendly and helpful, thank you all

Fedupandskint glad that councelling yesterday went as well as can be expected. Hope you are doing okay today.
Valli will be keeping everything crossed, and the animals paws crossed too, that you are successful with this job. Well done on getting through to the short list :)
hollyh how are you feeling today hon? I've heard mixed reports with regards to this swineflu - some people are saying it's not as severe as full blown flu and some are saying they feel like carpe.. I suppose it depends on how you are feeling when you get it. But I would definately ring your Dr and tell him the symptoms and explain that others have got it around you..
soappie 100 snails..eww!! Did BB help you pick them up or was she a hinderance and wanted to play with them..lol.
Mudders so glad that Stripes is home and is doing really well. Dogs don't quite understand when they should be resting do they..lol
gsysezz belated Happy Birthday to you hon, here's something to brighten your day. HSgiftbox.gif
Chunky your daughter looks adorable in her prom dress, a right little princess :)
Welcome Boodle, it's a great group here :)
methekidsandthecat ring your Dr's and describe the symptoms to him, it might be something else or it could be depression. I know depression makes you cry for no reason, it can also manifest in physical symptoms. But just to be safe have a word with your Drs.
Toots hope you are feeling much more perkier today :) Sorry to hear that you have to go back into hospital again. Make sure you let us know when so that we can all rally round :)
helen jelly have you thought of saving your bath water/washing up water etc and using this to water your containers. It won't hurt the plants, it's what is called grey water. As long as there isn't anything too smelly in the bath then this is okay. I have been doing this all the time with my plants and they are flourishing. I also don't water them every day I soak them throroughly one day so that the water gets right down the roots, then leave them for a day and then do the watering the next day. It reduces the water bills quite a bit as you are reusing your grey water etc..
Dusty and Mudders hope you don't go missing completely over the school hols, do pop in at the weekends and have a chat with us.
Welcome back gunsandbanjos, hope you had a nice time on hols.

I haven't been doing much today, heck I didn't do anything much after getting back from the crem yesterday. I fell asleep for a couple of hours yesterday afternoon, and only woke up when DH came home from work. We both walked the dogs and got some fish and chips, then watched Big Brother on t.v. This morning I slept in and kind of lost all motivation to do anything. Luckily I don't have to do anything for tea tonight as yesterday chicken sweet and sour can be reheated for tonight, with new potatoes and sugar snap peas. Thank you for all your wise words regarding the DSS and my benefits, I know they made sense but getting them through to my thick skull is a bit of an effort..lol. Unfortunately DH won't talk to me about this, I think he thinks I am worrying unnecessarily as I always freak out when they change the reforms, and I have been fine everytime. But I think that at the back of my head there is always the feeling that one time I won't. I am going to talk to my therapist next week and get her to make an appointment with the psychiatrist so that I am on his books again. I need to get my meds monitored anyway

Right I need to get my rear into gear and do something..well I did hang the washing out, cleared the floordrobe in the bedroom. Don't need to change the bed as that was done at the weekend..

5 things to achieve for the week :

Make a start on turbolisting things (minimum ten by Saturday)
    Mow (strim!) the entire lawn
Clean hutch including the ground below
Get all paperwork under control and filed
Mop the kitchen and hallway this time (keep failing)

MACAW to keep on top of the dishes after each meal and while cooking too. - getting better at this, gradually!

I started a thread to get advice on filling in my Tax Credits Renewal form but so far nobody seems to want to help or maybe my questions are too difficult? I'm feeling a bit out of my depth and might have to resort to ringing them anyway.

House is quite a challenge but I won't be defeated!

Don't worry I'll still be here daily saying random things like 'put a cup in the dishwasher' so that I don't get told off for chatting. I'd miss you all too much

witchy.. just ring and renew over the phone!! It takes about 5 minutes.. you confirm what income you and/or OH got up to April this year and if either has had a large rise.. done!!!

I always ring and renew and have never waited more than a minute to get through and never had a bit of bother.
