A " fast car " is one that reaches it's destination without breaking down, so that rules out Alfa's and most other Italian cars.

Depends what it is. I've heard more good than bad about small Fiats recently. If you do go for an Alfa, stay away from anything complex, like the ones with sellespeed (clutchless manual) gearboxes.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Beautiful to look at, fantastic comfy interior, great to listen to the engine and enjoyable to drive UNTIL they breakdown and they never fail to do just that I'm afraid.

I had to get rid in the end - every now and again I see one and think... ooh, I wonder if I can risk trying again... and then I remember being stranded in rush hour in Guildford with drivers shouting abuse as I had to (yet again) push the car to the side to await recovery - and then I know the answer... never again!
