I'm 42... I wear them but check in with my ruthless daughters every now and then in case I am developing granny bum.
I think they look grim if you haven't got a pert bum.de do-do-do, de dar-dar-dar0 -
I'll never be without my jeans!!!
I've always stuck clear of fashion styles though, such as Low waists - blehhh - would hate to show a builders cleavage off - ick, ick, ick!!
I just wear good old M& S, on waist dark grey ones with elastane in for that nice little give around the middle - lolNoli nothis permittere te terere

Twink, I think you'll find bootleg are the most flattering, especially when you are on the shorter side.
One thing about having children is that they soon put you right if they think anything is unsuitable or naff in their opinion. As I always say, without kids you've got no street cred.& will soon know if they would be ashamed to own up to you being their parent. :rotfl:
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -

I'm 5ft nearly 2I find bootleg are perfect. Don't buy tapered jeans or trousers they make you look shorter. If you are wearing them with heels, make sure they cover the heel (go to the floor) it makes you look taller!!!

I'd rather my mum wore jeans than the oh so nasty leggings.0

Oh, my gosh .... exposed again ....... will I never learn?... even though a woman may look 65 from the front - if she doesn't look 16 from the back in jeans
My emerging problem is .... I keep seeing a pert 16 from the rear ... then find its a 65 year old bloke at the front! Can anyone direct me to a spectacles thread?? :rotfl:If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
Denim may be hardwearing but it takes ages to dry. My mam wears jeans and she's only just started claiming her pension.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot. In your soul are infinitely precious things that cannot be taken from you.” - Oscar Wilde0

I think if you need waist elastication you should think again!;)
Over a size 14 proceed with caution, and like a previous poster said, avoid if you have granny bum. It is a bit spooky to see someone who looks young from behind and, well... not so young round the front. Aim for consistency. And please don't do cheap trainers with jeans, keep it smart!
My mum wont wear jeans as she is 60 'sumfink' and short 5' tall and about size 18, so there are a lot of other things which suit her better. (Willl I shrink to her height? LOL...;))
Yep its moneysaving cos denim lasts and doesnt need ironing if you get them out of the drier at the right time! M&S cheap jeans are good, better than primark jeans which cost the same. I have a pair, their sizes are a bit weird maybe its me, I got a 10 and I usually take an 8 from most other shops, but now Ive been down the gym a lot the tens are baggyMember no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

My mum is 73 and has a pair (not elasticated!). They are black and faintly pin-striped. She wears them with her boots. She doesn't dress like an old lady - she's far better dressed than I am but she isn't mutton dressed as lamb.
It really depends on how they're worn. I don't like the elasticated waist ones but whatever floats your boat.0 -
