Took my BF for Radiotherapy sesh on thursday-she's been carp ever since. Does anyone know if constant D and V is a reaction to Radiotherapy? Have looked on the 'net but doesn't apprear to be a known symptom. They've given her anti-sickness meds, but she can't keep them down...

She should have a number to ring at the hospital - talk to them. Any symptoms should be 'treatable' (eg by adjusting / giving meds before radio session). Sometimes sickness can happen - especially if she's being treated in the abdomen - not sure about 'D'! Like I say, her treatment 'team' should be able to help - don't put it off, it's better to tell them about any change in symptoms as they don't always ask and then assume everything's OK.

Um. hello everybody - been lurking for a few years on the site picking up loads of useful bits but not having time / pc / useful knowledge to 'get involved'. Not working now tho so have been on here a fair bit lately - you know 'sorting stuff out' (if reading diary after diary = 'sorting stuff out' :D) I don't know anybody on here but am sending good weekend wishes to all! x

Hello LQ! It's always good to see a new face. I'd say reading diary's is a great way to get started, although I don't have the patience for it myself.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

I hope this carrot cake is nice - it is huge! I've just smothered it with lemon butter icing - smooth and sleek it is not - it's very rustic looking!!!

Oh well if it is pants, I've only used up odds and ends for it.

  • Hi Ames and BB thanks for the welcome. I can read them for a while but have always been rubbish at writing them - never got beyond the end of January, haha. Something to do with not wanting to dwell on a rubbish day I guess! I do appreciate others putting the effort in though!
