    I wondered where everyone was!

Bookie - keep strong, you will be fine. I think the trip to Atlanta will give you the opportunity to relax and really start to plan your life going forwards.

I am knackered, woke up this morning and feel shattered. Had a weird cough for the last couple of days and now feel very tired.

    cough oink cough?:p

Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

We're as bad as each other!

Really looking forward to the day being over - it's horrible and lonely here. I thought the chat would never start.
It's my Dad's b'day today so we are going to DD1's tonight and I make no apologies for getting very tipsy.

    Scared witless about the future.

Going to be a busy day for me, they've just called me up to work in the public anti-viral collection point today!
It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Being scared is natural Bookie. After all the carp I went through, my working life became non-existent and my mind was in pieces through the actions of another person. It took me 6 months to piece my life back together enough to even buy a paper to look at jobs let alone be confident enough to apply for the lowest graded, simplest job on the market. Even going out of the house took guts to start with :o

And look at me now (ok, ignore the broke bit :D ) It all starts to snowball back together, small piece by small piece. I'm still not fully 'mended' - I need to sort out how I now treat my life as a series of very strictly timed business transactions rather than just being impulsive and letting life take me with it, but other than that I'm back in one piece mentally (I think!) - and a better person in some ways.

And so will you be - you'll get through this, it won't be easy, but you will be 'mended' sooner than you think. I promise
