Thank you lir. You know that you've probably caught it now?
If any ladies out there want flu now rather than in winter. I'll PM you my address for a kissing session. :kisses:
ETA: I prefer your icon. mine looks a bit like i'm being head butted.
I like yours, its appropriately blue.
Do I have to alert my flu buddies while I can still type?
(when flu is a past trouble I'm going to miss the phrase ''flu buddy'' with a passion. So comical,so juvenile, yet so pompous all at the same time)0 -

Heroine.
Its a problem if you are asking me about spelling and therefore I tactfully suggest it might be you suffering from mental ill health.:D0 -

May as well test the flu buddies by putting them through a drill at midnight.
Might be the only way to ensure your sytem works.

Phone list guadian for tonight(we have a timetable, I don't get it till the week after next for my 24 phone list guadianship:we have a timetable, but not sheduled days for that week yet:rotfl:) is a nice man who is utterly unflappable. He would chuckle naughtily, get me my tamilflu and bring a very expensive bottle of red wine which he'd stay to drink and not get the flu: he'sjust that sort. Its if we get the flu in the village on Sunday it should be fun. Its a woman DH calls Hysteria.0 -
One in three fatal victims had no serious underlying health problemsOfficials have warned that a third of those who have died so far had no serious underlying health problems. A third of those who have died were aged under 15, and 20 per cent of those who ended up in hospital were under the age of five.
The Health Protection Agency yesterday said for the first time that the disease was probably at epidemic levels - or one in 500 people reporting flu-like illness.
Meanwhile, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York have recommended the suspension of the sharing of the chalice at communion.

Isn't the point not that people are dying of swine flu but more that not very many are dying compared to people who get other types of flu (as compared to colds which people describe as the flu so they look a little bit harder to people they are hoping to get cups of tea etc from).
It's easy to catch but less dangerous when caught compared with other strains AIUI. I think with flu it's the immune response that kills you, not the disease itself so the young with good immune systems are the most likely to die.0 -
The main difference at present (to me) is the muscle/ joint aches are worse than previous flu's.
Hope you feel better soon bluey. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Is that the case here though? I presumed ''strong/good imune systems'' were that of fully grown young adults, not the under 14/15s but the next age bracket up, or sort of crossing over with the latterpart of that age bracket? Any doctors/biologists in the house today?0 -

I guess as only 31 people have died then you don't really have a statistically valid sample so can't draw any conclusions.
A doctor would be useful. Don't stop treating anyone to answer the point though.0
