Sometimes I shop online with Asda and have always found their drivers helpful and looking happy doing their jobs.

What a horrendous experience. I've also had a bad experience with Tesco home delivery recently and have not used them since. Their customer sevice is appalling. On the other hand, Sainsbury's always provide a first class service - the other week i was running late for my delivery, and the driver called me and happily waited 15 minutes outside my house until i got home! Personally I would have to be very desperate to use Tesco again.

I waited 45 minutes for a customer, she was the only customer left. But I had loads of time before going home, but I was too far to be worth driving all the way back to the store and come back again plus it would be a waste of time and fuel. The customer was so sorry, ended up fussing me about insisting I had a cup of tea before leaving lol. Nice to have customers like that, made my week really considering it was a bad one at the time! (plus the cup of tea was very welcomed and was made while I brought the shopping in!)

I always work to do the best service I can, afterall all of us drivers are guests to your homes. I don't like hearing stories of bad drivers, yes mistakes happen, but when they keep happening or when the driver is rude thats not nice.

Hope everyone find their perfect drivers and shops they like!

Tesco customer service always seem to be nice its the stores which seem to cause the problem. I ordered shopping once at 5pm-7pm slot and got home at 4.30pm to find a card in the door saying the driver called at 5pm and no-one was home! So I called customer services and they were very apologetic and would contact the store. I then got the home delivery manager ring me back who accused me of lying and that the driver waited 10mins for me and then had to leave. When I pointed out that I phoned customer services at 4.45pm they said it proved nothing!!
Customers services do a good job it just seems the stores do their best to stop them. If the driver is late I give them 15mins till after the slot I have booked and then call and they immediately without wanting any further infomation refund the delivery charge. They also refund anything thats missing without arguement.
Its just a minority of the drivers who don't seem that great and as I said the home delivery manager at my local store is a horrible woman and you can sort of see why some of her drivers have a bit of an attudie problem.

That's so funny :rotfl: I've witnessed staff in store lying and trying stuff on so many times, this would be unbelievable if it was not Tesco!!!

I thought there was a law saying that if something was delivered to you in error then you have a legal right to keep it without being charged (or something like). Though presumably that just applies to goods rather than... legal documents and things like that!

I'm sure I heard this was the case one time though maybe I'm totally getting my facts confused! If it were true then even if Tesco had given you an extra crate, they wouldn't be able to force you to give it back.

A while ago a was constantly getting extra shopping in with mine. I always called and reported it but they always said keep it. Once I got loads of victoria sponges, which is wierd.

Once the driver did give me some of my neighbours bags, but as he went there next, he was able to walk back down the street and collect their dog food!

I have had serious problems with all of the supermarket delivery services except Ocado, who have been perfect since day one. THey could make a lot of money training the other delivery services how to do things properly.

Just two days ago there was a bag of groceries missing from my Asda shop, which of course I only realised as I went to pack everything away. I was interested in the comment above where a driver said they send someone out to replace the goods asap - that's never been my experience. I always have to ring and get a refund which, I was told, 'will take ten working days'. WHAT?! Where do they get that number from? Nothing takes ten days to process from one bank account to the other.

The worst was Tesco. My FIRST EVER shop with them was supposed to be delivered between 8 and 10 at night. AT 10.10 the driver called to say he was running late but as it was past his shift he was going home and wouldn't be delivering my shop. WHAT??! I was so flabbergasted that I didn't know what to say. He left me high and dry with no groceries for the weekend with a young baby in the house.

I did of course contact customer services who seemed not in the least bit surprised that he had done this and had no other answer for me except to send a £10 e-voucher. Which I did not use, as I intend never to use Tesco delivery again.

Sainsbury's made so many substitutes in my first couple of shops with them that I decided not to use them either (and some really srupid subs too - replacing veggie sausages with meat ones!).

I'm not in the middle of nowhere either, I'm in the middle of London, so there shouldn't be a huge supply problem.

tesco delivery has gone down hill of late. ive had numerous problems recently - a whole crateload missing - took 2 days to sort out, get redelivered, then they brought the wrong things. after numerous emails and phone calls, i eventually got the delivery refunded and a £5 evoucher. the biggest problems seem to be when the delivery is paper based and you return something eg a substitute which isnt right. on 3 occasions now, ive had to ring up to chase the refund.
once tried asda - they delivered to the wrong street, left it with "my next door neighbour", debited my card, and took 2 wks to refund. at the time, my son was only a couple of weeks old - so a trip to the supermarket was the last thing i wanted!! never got an apology, or compensated. i even had to argue with them for the delivery charge refunded. that put me off asda for life!! i still use tesco tho - on the whole they are fine - its just this last couple of months theyve had problems.

ive had quite a few problems with tesco too but because i find it the easiest site to use i still tend to use them :o
ive had the weirdest subs ever and quite often theyre very pricey too. the drivers i have met though have all been very very nice and poilte and when their have been c0ck ups theyve been the 1st to refund the money and appologise. mine comes from coventry crosspoint i believe so big thumbs up to them, if only i could say the same about the shopping pickers. i think some of them shove random costy things in just for a laugh but hey ho ive had a few laughs back too, such as my 10 p turkey which we had for last xmas dinner, should have been a tenner but they miss priced it lol, also when they broke one of my eggs and the driver said he would refund for the lot but let me keep them, 12 large free range eggs, thankyou kindly... lol actually 11 in the end lol.
asda is another story. i found their customer service to be abismal and i will never shop online there again. theyre online service crashed and they didnt honour my slot even though id paid, also took ages to refund my money.
im tempted to try ocado as they keepo sending me vouchers but we shall see lol
