Tesco delivery mess up, urgent advice needed.

Options
I received my Tesco delivery today, and everything was as it should be, all there, no problems...until an hour after the drop off...

I got a phone call from Tesco saying that the driver claims to have delivered a crate of chilled groceries to me in error, but this is not the case, I received nothing that I hadn't ordered...but they are adamant that I have it, and are threatening to bill me unless I return the goods to a driver that is on the way...but do not have these goods!!!

Is there any way that I can prove that I did not receive these items? I don't want to be billed for stuff I haven't got....

Stick to your guns that you never recieved anything you should not have.
Me personally would invite the driver in to look if i had recieved anything

Show the guy your freezer when he comes round? then fire off a stroppy e-mail to complain to head office about how he invaded your privacy and they branded you a liar.

I just thought, the crates have stickers with barcodes...do they not scan these upon delivery?

Im not sure about the barcodes as i dont do home delivery.
But if i were you email head office saying you were branded a liar, and that by inviting the driver in it has invaded your privacy,
hopefully you well get vouchers off your next shopping visit.

He's due by 6pm, I hope it's the same driver as he'll get an earful!

OMG how awful. I wouldn't even answer the front door to him if I knew I'd only had my delivery.

Normally I wouldn't, but I'm worried they will debit my stored card...they mentioned "Finest" bacon, ham and cakes....could amount to a hefty sum...can they just bill me without authorisation?

No i would not have thought so, if they do ring up the trading standards and tell them you are dis-satified with the customer service you got, and you were also branded a liar.
