I think the Nans are a little dry, but sprinkled with water just before cooking they are fine. Also the massuman sauce - we think- is better with yoghurt or cream, its a little hot.

Just had a fabulous lunch of Syminton's Cream of Mushroom Soup in a Cup with a pack of Soup Shot Croutons! Very tasty and a nice way to have something warm for lunch when at work.

  • I've got six jars of Guacamole. It tastes a lot like peas, but would be ok disguised in something I think! Any ideas for using it up??

used to be a restaurant here that did a pizza but topped with guacamole and soured cream, and of course chikllies. It was LOVELY

btw the prestat chocolate i wish i had bought more, it is very posh stuff. given the choice I would always go for more 'high end' chocolate;)

Well I tried the chunky chicken a couple of different ways & have to admit it's not that nice (everything else we've had has been fine, so I'm not complaining). I made a pie with some of it, & drained the sauce off some & replaced with tomato pasta sauce in an attempt to disguise the reconstituted taste/texture a bit. One bag makes loads, so it's certainly a very cheap way to feed the family!

Has anyone else opened one of the huge tins of spaghetti yet ? I opened one earlier on and the sauce that the spaghetti was in had turned to a sort of jelly, with a separate clear liquid floating on top ?? If i were to heat it, do you think it would sort itself out and turn back into the normal sauce or not risk it ? So far, i've left it and done nothing

The ingredients have just settled out, that's all. Give it a good stir to mix it all together again and they should be fine.

I have used one of these tins. The sauce was fine once heated up. I also cheered mine up with a bit of ketchup and Worcestershire sauce mmm! HTH
    Nice to save.
