No, it's a talking point.
It's what journalist do to attract attention to their articles.
Now, to ignore solid arguments pointing clearly to falls... now, that IS asinine.0 -
I've misplaced my crystal ball lately. Thanks for finding a replacement geoff0

Personally I've always had a fondness for the word ''oocine''. Sadly underused, except by the slightly porcine headed among us.0 -

Actually, whether you like or dislike the article or style, no-one has yet managed to raise an objection to any of the substance of the article, which is all solid commonsense.
:rotfl:
It's nothing but alarmist headline grabing tripe. There is NO substance to that sort of email, except trying to get you to fork out £75 to subscribe to something that promises 1000% returns on a fad investment.
It's snake oil sales at it's worst.I don't know about halving from here on, but there is no way that substantial further falls in house prices are not going to happen, given the rises in unemployment, huge amounts of mortgage fraud bubbling under the surface, interest rates about to rise etc etc.
If prices can fall 20% even with the lowest rates in 400 years and before unemployment kicks in, how people imagine it's going to stay static or rise once this all gets going, I simply cannot imagine.
Too much wishful thinking going on, I think....
Once this all gets going????? !!!!!! do you think has been happening for the last 2 years?
It's almost over, not about to start.
The only wishful thinking is that from the bears predicting Armageddon....“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”
-- President John F. Kennedy”0 -
Thank goodness I logged in. Had a meeting with an IFA later to organise first mortgage - 6 times borrowings - 200k for a one bed flat, or as my mate unkindly calls it - a sh1thole. Now if that's going to drop 50% or nearly 73k, I am going to put my life on hold for at least a year. I mean, I know women don't go out with renters, but I'd rather self abuse for (another) year than lose 73k.
Thanks MSE, I'm going to be quids in!!!0 -
