My near 3 year old son's first ebay purchase!!!!

No parent is perfect.
I bet her 3 year old is probably far more intelligent than some of the ebay idiots that I have had to deal with.
Although my two year old would have had the sence to discreetly pay with paypal so I would have been none the wiser. (LOL)0 -
Fair enough it happened, but then you should just pay up and have it done witHGod made man, man made money, money made man mad0

The original poster said she intended to pay it. She was just relating it as an amusing anecdote. And really, how many of us haven't done something potentially distastrous?'Everyone loves to read but it can be a real nuisance when you lose your place. Here's a solution. When you finish reading a page, just tear it out. You'll save money on bookmarks too!' -- Amanda's Handy Hints, Amanda Keller. :cool:0

I can see why the seller found this suspicious, it does bemuse me how a 3 yr old can find ebay.co.uk on the address bar, find an auction, view it, click buy and then commit to buy on the next page but yet children don't usually learn how to read (let alone surf the net) until they are about 4 or 5 years old???Accept that some days you're the pigeon and some days you're the statue.0

I think the point everyone was making was the fact that she asked the seller to cancel the transaction and didn't offer to pay the fees. Also, the seller even offered to sell it at reduced rate, which frankly I think was quite generous given the circumstances.
OK, so its only a couple of quid, but I don't think that's really the point.
However, on the other side of the coin, I am almost certain that the buyer won't be making the same mistake again in a hurry...It was one of those random things that happen when you have kids.. Lessons learnt and all!"There are no pockets in a shroud..."0 -

Well I was happy to pay the 2.54 and am quite looking forward to receiving the keyring which will be a keepsake until he's older
It was a proud mummy moment which I guess overshadowed all the serious implications of my son's actions and I would never have refused the seller his listing fees had the item been more expensive and something I couldn't afford to buy.
Yes I won't keep myself signed in
Thanks to those who did see the funny side of things - that's why I posted in the first place -

I took it as just a funny story and thought the seller seemed a right idiot without a life, let alone a child! Now I realise he's not the only one on here like that!
