Great Little Trading Company used to sell them. I have seen them on ebay recently as I was going to sell our old one but there were a few about.

Have you still got it? Would you be willing to sell?

Cheers for the eBay listing too!

Is the Snug it Velcro? Could it be easily undone by my demon child?

I've used one on both of mine (and both demonic lol) and they have never mastered how to undo it! Can't explain it, but it folds in on itself, so whilst it can be undone by tugging it needs a bit of oomph to do it!

    Have pm'd you alanalea. :)
  • I think a slap on the upper leg is appropriate when vehicular danger could be involved.
  • We used a snug sit on our dd. There was no way she could undo it - and that's saying something! It was very quick for an adult to undo though, so there were no worries about safety.

My dd is slender and can escape out of her straps too - very narrow shoulders. This is one of the only times I've had to get shouty and horrid and stop the car. After the tears subsided I explained why - now she likes to strap a soft toy in the seat next to her, before she gets in. Its one of the very few things I've make a really big issue of - since I totally failed to find anything that would keep her in. Wearing thick jumpers helps a bit. Now I always make sure the straps are as tight as I can manage before we start and we never have any more escaping.

RoSPA don't recommend using the extra things you can get to stop them getting out of the seat, the main worries are if there is a car accident and they couldn't get them off.
One day I might be more organised...........

I suppose it's a risk we have to assess as parents. Personally I would rather have the snugsit (that has a release tag and has been especially designed with such events in mind) than run the risk of my child getting out of the seat.
