Yeah a Citreon Berlingo is quite roomy. I would go with this recommendation as well.
    Goodluck and congrats

I have a megane estate and we can't fit the 3 car seats in the back. Plus we do have a M&P base and seat which simply does not sit correctly in the back.

We tried a scienic and they didn't fit in either.

We bought a trajet (2 car household) which is a 7 seater. But I do not recommend you buy ones of those, it's a heap of crap:mad:
  • why not go for a seven seater car!

at the time our 3rd was born we had a 4 yr old and a 2.5 yr old. so completly understand about the car seats. we had a renualt megane scenic and although all seats in back had the full seat belts we still found it a struggle. so we bought an 02 plate renault espace. loads and loads of room. We've as yet not found a single fault with it. owned it nearly 2 years now. we still have a huge boot space and the car seats fit perfectly in the seat's.

I can fit two infant car seats and a stage 1 (the bulky one that they move into after the rear facing one??) in the back of my zafira. You do have to close the door gently though.

I believe that ideally the car seats should not touch either other. Mine do, short of making some my children walk, there is no much i can do.

Having the option of seven seats is great, but you lose boot space and most buggies won't fit in with all the seats up.

I am sure the Honest John site used to have a list of cars which would take 3 child seats in the back.
Signature removed for peace of mind
  • Our Mondeo estate (51 plate) fits 3 child seats in the back. Also my Mazda Bongo has 6 seats in the back and lots of space.

Well in my beat up old astra I pick up SIL and my 2 nephews and can get 2 car seats and SIL in back, and other car seat in front. If I had a 3 point seat belt in the middle then 3 seats would easily fit in the back, and all three (DD and both nephews) have the Britax si car seat that goes from 0-4 yrs and they are huge compared to most car seats.

I agree with byrl that getting baby into the middle would be a faff, probably best to put eldest in the middle as they can climb in themselves, but I'm sure you'll find all those little things out once you find a car that will physically fit the car seats in. :)
