Change of solicitor is certainly significant.
Hope you are managing to get on with other aspects of your life and aren't spending too much time stressing about this. Do something completely un-house-related over the weekend. They are an EYESORES!!!!0 -

Here's hoping their new solicitors will talk some sense into them! More than likely, their previous one tried to do the same and they weren't having any of it!! I reckon they will be trying to sue their previous solicitors as well for getting them into this situation:rolleyes:. How else are they going try to get out of the contract!! The blame game begins:D
Keep it clean, Good Luck

Good luck WW - like everyone else I'll be waiting for an update, but please make sure that you don't give anything away on here...
We exchanged contracts 4 weeks ago and I must admit that this thread has certainly added to the nervous strain of the past few weeks. I've been following it with morbid fascination! Our completion yesterday thankfully went without a hitch though. The house was filthy but when I think of what WW and her family are going through I feel this is a small price to pay. At least that's something we can physically do something about (and are, as we speak). It feels sooo good to literally wash away the previous occupants - I hope you get to do this to one day soon WW - better use industrial strength bleach!0 -
I have stayed up well past my bedtime to read all of this post and for once I am almost speechless!!! Good luck WW, see it through to the end and get your own back by really enjoying your home once you get into it!!
My OH and I are compulsive house movers (so many houses, so little time!) and know just how stressful (and exciting!) moving is and we have never heard of this happening before. So there are two more here following your post and cheering you on!!!Slightly bitter0 -

We thought that - and then the lawn sank - it dropped 6 inches.... turned out they'd moved but the cockerel spaniel hadn't  a hasty internment...... interesting resolving that one..... and I don't think fairy liquid would have deterred the stream of balliffs and debt collectors either.... look for the bodies....0 -
I have read this thread through from beginning to end and feel there is only one course of action left open to you now:
1) Buy the neighbours house (and)
2) Buy some Industrial Earplugs (and)
3) Purchase 500 Cockerels
:rotfl:
It took me a minute to 'get' that....I thought that was 3 options you had listed and I was wondering why WW would want to buy 500 cockerels instead of a house. Then I realised it was an 'and' type situation. :rotfl:
I'm not thick....honest.I'm reading this thread in the morning after not having slept well all night so I'm very tired and I just skimmed over the posts. :rotfl:

If it's the house you have your heart set on then GO FOR IT
