Glad to hear about the Spain house, Welshwoofs. Have also been following intently and can't wait to hear what you get from them today. I am really gobsmacked at their idiocy and hope they get what's coming to them x0

Just read this thread and wanted to add my support, I hope for a speedy change of mind from the vendors when they realise how much they stand to lose! Good luck xx0

So, the gentle negotiation process failed with the vendors' solicitor stating they didn't want to entertain any further correspondence. They've now been given formal notice that we'll be seeking specific performance through the courts in what is now a little over 7 working days. Specific performance is basically an application for the court to force completion of the sale (with costs awarded).
So unless I come back with good news in the next week, the next update will be court dates I'm guessing!
I have been away and have just read through the latest postings, hoping that the vendors may now have seen sense but obviously they haven't. Maybe now they will see sense and sort things out before any court date. Fingers crossed for you.To Dare is To Do:beer:0 -
Hmmm, no update on the "communication" - hopefully because WW is packing, and not because she is drowning her sorrows while banging her head repeatedly against a wall! They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0

Hrm well I didn't hear anything today so hoping something came in late and we'll hear tomorrow.“Don't do it! Stay away from your potential. You'll mess it up, it's potential, leave it. Anyway, it's like your bank balance - you always have a lot less than you think.”
