    Ok, well update time again!

So, the gentle negotiation process failed with the vendors' solicitor stating they didn't want to entertain any further correspondence. They've now been given formal notice that we'll be seeking specific performance through the courts in what is now a little over 7 working days. Specific performance is basically an application for the court to force completion of the sale (with costs awarded).

So unless I come back with good news in the next week, the next update will be court dates I'm guessing!

Have your vendors ever moved before? Their approach seems to be close to unhinged.

Still, makes me think you probably got a good deal on the house!

It is thinking that no one would be that crazy which causes me to wonder if they are a sockpuppet for a very determined alternative buyer. I can only think that there is a lot of cash at stake here.

Based on your thoughts, I have to ask, is there additional land with the property? If so, there is a possibility they have realised they can gain planning on that for additional properties?

Failing that, a diamond mine in the garden :o

    Mortgage-free Glee!
Imagine if one of these idiots was pulled over on the motorway:

" Excuse me, is this your vehicle?"

    "Yes"

" Would you mind telling me why you were speeding?"

    " No"

" Your speeding has been recorded on camera. witnessed by my colleague and is obviously in clear breach of the law. It will definately cost you several points on your licence but if you compound the issue by being difficult now it could further result in a court summons. Perhaps you should take this situation more seriously?"

" Hmmmm no, I don't think so officer. In fact I don't think I wan't to entertain any further conversation with you. I'll assume as I've ended this exchange I can just drive away with no consequences. Goodbye"

" Control I need to put out an APB on a suspect who has just driven away from a formal stop...suspect appears to be driving with both hands off the wheel and fingers in their ears shouting LALALALALALA. Suspect appears to be operating in a different reality and should be considered highly idiotic."
Go round the green binbags. Turn right at the mouldy George Elliot, forward, forward, and turn left....at the dead badger
