Failing that, a diamond mine in the garden
Nope, no additional land - not even any possibility of 'garden grabbing'
I'm beginning to wonder if there's some odd Brookside scenario and they've got someone buried under the patio!“Don't do it! Stay away from your potential. You'll mess it up, it's potential, leave it. Anyway, it's like your bank balance - you always have a lot less than you think.”

Hahahaha lets hope not eh?!
Have you managed to cancel your tenants moving in? How unbearable, they sound like a couple of right numpties.
There are a couple of people i'd rather not entertain correspondence with, unfortunately it isn't that simple!0 -
As much as I feel for you Welshwoofs in all this saga I have to say that having morons like this in society does make life a little more interesting for the rest of us onlookers
I really hope this gets sorted to your satisfaction and the village idiots get booted where it hurts!0 -
Just wanted to add my support to you in this case - I've been following it like many and can't believe what is happening. Do hold on for what you believe it right and go with your gut instinct on this - there are lots of people here supporting what you are doing in taking this forward and it is your right to force them to complete. Hope it doesn't cost you or your family too much money, or your sanity of happiness though, well done for not giving in - depending on where the court is you could have quite an army of support!!!0

What does your solicitor make of the other solicitor's behaviour?
Are both of your solicitors in the same area. My father would never use a local solicitor as he thought they were all in the same clubs, socialise together etc. and didn't act totally in the best interests of the client so used one from another area.~Laugh and the world laughs with you, weep and you weep alone.~:)

Still, makes me think you probably got a good deal on the house!
Well this is where it just doesn't make sense at all. If we had got the house for a steal and there was a buyer in the background offering a substantial increase you could understand it...however our offer was exactly what the survey valuation came in at.
However I do have EA friends there who are saying property is shifting in a week now and prices seem to be picking up marginally probably because of a lack of property coming on to the market. Now whether that's a local recovery, or a dead cat bounce, I don't know...but perhaps the vendors have interpreted this change in the local housing market to mean "Woo hooo - let's pull out and try to whack £30k on our asking price!"“Don't do it! I really can't believe what stupid people who are permitted to live and breed!!
How can they possibly think they're ever going to win this!?! And if they ever do win this (they won't), then it will create utter turmoil over the whole buying/selling process, in that people will use this as a case in which they can pull out when they want!
Should I be checking the Daily Mail for a sob story about how a family are being turfed out of their family home by the law courts...?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Imagine if one of these idiots was pulled over on the motorway:
<...>
" Control I need to put out an APB on a suspect who has just driven away from a formal stop...suspect appears to be driving with both hands off the wheel and fingers in their ears shouting LALALALALALA. Suspect appears to be operating in a different reality and should be considered highly idiotic."
You made me laugh!!!! Had to try hard not to laugh aloud, as I am in the office and had mouth full of pasta (I am having my lunch...)!
I hope this gets sorted and vendors will be shown all their stupidity. Maybe Welshwoofs should publish a book afterwards or at least something in a national newspaper to teach all the 'to-be-vendors' how not to behave!Spring into Spring 2015 - 0.7/12lb0 -

The valuation will always agree with the price being paid, unless they under value it. They will never over value it.0 -

Lol, well, when you do move in (which I'm certain you will) maybe best to leave any garden landscaping until next summer eh? :rotfl:0
