yes argos will refund you but i am not sure on partial refund for you keeping the bed. we had a bed for my son a year ago, after 6 months it broke, they replaced it with another one (silent night) - he had it 3/4 months and was complaining of backache (it was the really thin silent night matress); I rang them up and they replaced it with some bunk beds last week. They were awful, i should have read the reviews on line first. They went back today and we are getting hte refund in vouchers (as we have had 2 replacements and originally purchased a year ago).
Brilliant customer service, crap beds!! I dare not ask for another replacement because they have all been rubbish!0
