Csa are saying i owe £10000 approx in arrears.I am currently trying to get them to look at this again as they have made mistakes with my wage/pension/travel to work cost. This leaves the arrears calculation wrong.I am just dealing with them by letter now.
Then today i get a letter from them saying i have to pay £80 now.If i dont they will start DEO or other threats,i have 5 days to reply to this.I have had no reply to the letter i sent them with correct payslips, just this order.
How can i deal with them by letter only when they start putting pressure on like this?
Get on the phome to the assessment team and ask to speak to a supervisor if they can't tell you how long it will take to look at your case. I hope you kept copies of your payslips that you sent.....0 -

In my personal experience they will start putting into force a deo regardless.
I have never dealt with the csa on the phone and yes, they did start parallel action (a deo...bailiffs..etc)
So even if you phone them and tell them that you havnt got the £80.00 they will probably start deo action.
If you choose to write to them to tell them that you havnt got the £80.00 they will probably start deo action.
You can't win either way. You must do whatever feels right to you.
If you feel that you must deal with them on the phone make sure that you do it sparingly....very sparingly indeed...... because you could easily come to regret dealing with them on the phone in the future.0
