Pesto!

Wow, they all sound lovely. I have some greek yoghurt in the fridge that needs using up. Perhaps I could mix some in with this, add some chicken and stuff into pitta bread. Feeling hungry now.....0

Cheese, tomato, and pesto toasties are good, too.0

Pesto, pasta, fried mushrooms, onion and bacon bits and a bit a double cream...
Hey Pesto :-)0 -
I prefer mine on top of a nice cod steak and then baked in the oven.0

Toast some pine nuts, fry off some chopped bacon and add to cooked pasta. Add pesto and warm through, and stir in some creme fraiche just before serving. That's a favourite tea in our house.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

We do something similar by mixing it with breadcrumbs and parmesan, spreading it over salmon and then sprinking a bit more parmesan on top to make a crust. I know pesto usually has parmesan in it anyway but I just love cheese! Have also eaten this over baked mussels, though have to admit I didn't actually make this last dish.0 -
You can do almost anything with pesto. I often make pesto bread (pizza base with pesto spread on top and cooked as usual). It is also great as a dressing on veg - I use it most on green beans but I think you could have it on pretty much anything. This can be a good base for a pasta dish that's a bit healthier than just pasta and pesto on its own. It's also nice as a swirl to garnish tomato soup or in fact in almost anything tomato-y.0

I always have my pesto on pasta, with some roasted veggies (peppers, onions, tomatoes, courgette etc) stirred through. Also quite nice to add interest to a chicken sarnie

I like mine best with chicken. However, you can also use it instead of pizza sauce for a nice grown up pizza, and you can add it to basic bread dough to make pesto bread.0
