I love to make cinnamon apple muffins. I just use a normal blueberry muffin recipe and substitute some appled stewed with cinnamon - mmm. Actually, a lot of my baking involves cinnamon. You could make some rock buns, or some sugar and spice rings (basically a bit like a Chelsea bun but without yeast). My favourite bit of baking with cinnamon (and apples) has been cream horns made with extra crisp puff pastry strips, spiced apples and fresh cream. Or apple turnovers... Mmm...

I have read that cinnamon & honey will HELP stop you catching flu/bronchitis/pneumonia...so I decided that since it's cheap and I like the smell, I will get some cinnamon and start using it. I already use a lot of honey.

Not sure where to post this, but since it's an ancient spice then surely OS is ok !:D
I want to know what you put it in, how you use it, what you can do with it -
Anybody ? Even including smoking it or burning it ...!:D

I put it in anything vaguely appley! I love apple sauce with sultanas and cinnamon, inside a homemade crepe......or in muffins.....or apple scone.........or in crumble topping.......or twinks hobnobs.......or spicy butternut squash soup.......or apple and parsnip soup......or cakes........in pretty much most things! I usually stick in some if I make curry.
I also havea wee bundle of cinnamon sticks in my car - under the seat, to make the car smell nice!0 -

ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Last year I was doing my Christmas Sainsbury's online shop and added cinnamon sticks to my order, as I was planning on making [plenty] of mulled wine and didn't want to run out of any vital ingredients - I ordered 12 bottles of red wine, just to be sure. :rotfl:
Anyway the driver turned up and went off on a [humorous] rant about how the 'picker' had substituted sticks for ground when it was obvious I needed them for mulled wine.
He then told me about when he was young, they used to buy cinnamon sticks on the way to school and smoke them at breaktime. I'd never heard the likes of it.
Would've been tempted to try it myself, mind you, had they actually delivered them in the first place.0 -

Ohhh, I've never thought to use them as an air freshner. I do like to have a wee sniff in the jar, from time to time.
Off to put a bundle under the sofa... :T0
