Not sure where to post this, but since it's an ancient spice then surely OS is ok !:D
I want to know what you put it in, how you use it, what you can do with it -
Anybody ? Even including smoking it or burning it ...!:D

Mardartha....I use it in scones sometimes....either plain or with raisins/sultanas. I also put it on top of a rice pudding, into any kind of fruit cake I make and if used with rhubarb or other sour fruit in some way it seems to sweeten it a bit, so you need less sugar.
Am tempted after your post to try smoking it but not sure.....

Hi mardatha,
I use it in bread and cakes and it's lovely in apple pie or crumbles.
There are more ideas on these threads:
Recipe for Cinnamon Buns anyone?
Scone with cinnamon, spices and fruit recipe?
Recipe for cinnamon & raisin bread?
Bagel ideas please:cinnamon & raisin
Stupid question from someone who should know better - cinnamon toast

It's nice on top of rice pudding, and this sounds weird but it's really nice in tomato sauces, my dad puts it in bolognese, with ginger. He puts ginger in everything lmao. Well maybe it's a Greek thing.. But either way, it's weird but good. Otherwise desserts- muffins, cinnamon rolls, anything with apples
Stuffed apples?

I have read that cinnamon & honey will HELP stop you catching flu/bronchitis/pneumonia...so I decided that since it's cheap and I like the smell, I will get some cinnamon and start using it. I already use a lot of honey.
TY ladies !0 -
I'm sure I read somewhere that cinnamon is good for blood sugar management.
While I realise this is no place to give medical advice I'm sure anyone interested in finding out about this would know how to search for more info. (Is that ok PP?)
It's only a game

It's great in homemade soups to add an autumny spicey flavour.
I mainly use it in cinnamon buns though - my children can't get enough of them!"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -

OH absolutely adores cinnamon, so, as well as the usual cakes & puddings, I make Cinnamon Apple Butter for him. I have also made bottles of cinnamon syrup for his porrige (weezls thread).
We also had a pup called Cinnamon once"Men are generally more careful of the breed(ing) of their horses and dogs than of their children" - William Penn 1644-1718
