LIfe is NOT finished, it sounds to me like you are just about to start it.
You have been hanging around for a long time,. What is with these clothes with nowhere to wear them to. You need to get out there.
What are your interests. or what would you like your interests to be.
If I were you Id throw it all in move to the City adn start over, join a load of clubs, meet some new people and find yourself.I don't relate to most my age. Cannot see any merit in discussing operations etc.
People my age seem to like Tom Jones, I like the Killers. Help. What's for me?
I loved this bit
you sound great.
Why not take yourself off to music festival and get drunk on cider or too much wine
Music knows no age, Ive been dancing in my bikini with 80 odd year olds whove had too much cider, them and me. Everyone just enjoying themselves
You go for it, sounds lie you are well ready for things to take off.
Keep us posted
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
I not sure how to help you but wanted to say I am amazed you have stayed for as long as you have.
Do you have ANY friends?I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

So sorry to hear all that, it sounds like you've been through a really rough time. Don't really have much practical advice as not very good with things like this. I just wanted to say don't think your life is over, if you find the strength to move on from your husband then this could be the start of a great new life for you. It seems to be like you need to start focusing on yourself and what you want out of life. I'm sure someone else will be along shortly with better advice, but couldn't just read and run xx:love: Getting married 23/09/09

I would say go for it, it sounds like you have given enough and suffered enough over the last few (!) years and deserve the time and fun just for yourself, time passes all too quickly and you will have loads of regrets if you don't do these things. Hats off to you for facing your problems and dealing with the successfully.
The music thing is great, it's not something you have to like, when you get to a certain age, buck the trend and do your own thing!! Ceroc sounds awesome: http://www.ceroc.org.uk/ceroc_surrey/Home.html
have look there and at least give it a go, what do you have to lose? If it's not for you, onto the next thing, good luck and heartfelt best wishes to you, please let us know how you get on,
take care

Relationships that have had their day, creep up on you insidiously like a robber in the night and then one day,you are suddenly aware of them.
Lord only knows how you have suffered this one.0 -
You sound so unhappy with your life, but you haven't allowed your situation to kill your spirit, which I think says wonders about you. You need to put on those clothes and get out there! Keep us posted!!!"I believe that everything happens for a reason. They'll put the 30/40 year olds in the photos, doesn't mean there's no one else there.
I do Salsa and Swing dancing and the age range goes from 20 to 70, possibly older.
There are actually quite a number of elderly gentlemen there, I think they're reliving dances from when they were younger.
Go to a class. The worst that can happen is that you'll feel awkward and miserable for an hour. You're feeling miserable now anyway.
(although I have to say I'd do a real partner dance before ceroc, but I'm biased!)0 -
I went to my first rave when I was 30 - met several pensioners there. All loved up they were
. I agree with the festival idea, it's the type of place you can go to on your own and have a very sociable time. Sounds like it's time to start enjoying yourself and detach from this man who is hurting you. 2015 wins: Jan: Leeds Castle tickets; Feb: Kindle Fire, Years supply Ricola March: £50 Sports Direct voucher April: DSLR camera June: £500 Bingo July: £50 co-op voucher0 -

No. None at all. Life devoted to family, but how could I ever invite people here? Mood may be ok in morning then darkness in afternoon.
I walk in from the garden and to this day, marvel at our lovely home. I love it, which is why I'm not willing to leave it.
What I want, now I no longer have Jaffa, is to find a social life. Not old fogies though, young vibrant people to laugh with. I loved washing up in a kitchen with young chefs. They were a great laugh.
People of my age are ancient. Hysterectomies being their favourite subject.0 -

So who do I real partner dance with bandroi? I'm happy to do a workshop, what worries me is some young fella having to take my hand and nearly puking over having to partner an old woman.
I also find elderly gentleman revolting. all those wrinkles.
Howard Keel yes. Not many like him. Yes I know Howard Keel is dead, before the onslaught. lol0
