My £20 is not only intact, but now = £20.02 :rotfl::rotfl:

10p on scratches, nothing coming out of my bank account today, but £10 scratchcard winnings received, which has been transferred to the debt pot for transfer to the Egg loan at the beginning of August.
So, nothing much to report - ebay still at £55 - it finishes on Saturday evening, so plenty of time yet.
Fingers crossed for cheques landing nicely on my doorstep today

Morning all,
Wholly agree on miserable life this week.:( Just checked emails and I have lost last S/E contract of year which would have been Xmas money - i think to someone who is doing it for nothing - how can you beat that.
Had £615 bill for car but it still has its little fault that none of that cost has helped but was worked needed anyway.
But on a positive note I didn't spend anything yesterday and spent my lunch on the freebies board applying for all the free samples . Wonder if you can wrap up lots if individual sachets to make up Xmas boxes for the females or is that just an MSE moment too far!
Fingers crossed for the cheque. If necessary does the school open for training days next week rather than take the payment this week?
Me xOne small step for ME, one giant leap for my family!
2015 - my Amazon Gift Certificate mini challenge - saving to buy small household electrical items.
Total £9.120 -
There is no way round paying the cheque this week - the school have got to send payment off tomorrow, so I will be sending my cheque in with DD and keeping fingers crossed for money owed to me......seat of the pants stuff!!
Today my £20 has been used.......coffee and breakfast (I have the coffee, she has the breakfast) before she goes down to London today.....She is going to the O2 to see the "bodyworks" exhibition - her college course are funding it, so that is not bad at all!
I also sent £2 to school for an end of term fundraiser - for our local Air ambulance and Macmillan so I don't have a problem with that.....
£3 for DD bus fare to college - should really come out of "essentials" but I have taken it from the £20 for now as it was the only money in my purse and I didn't want to take another £10 from the bank, as the remaining £7 would just have been too much of a temptation!! (plus, I am not sure there is £10 in the bank :rotfl:)
And I am meeting a friend for coffee and cake at lunchtime........
me - you could use free samples to make up some sort of hamper for presents - I think there are ideas on one of the other boards..
Surfbabe - sorry your DS is still having problems with the cheque from friends - a very awkward situation.Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
Blimey, this whole China payment thing sounds tight, Hypno, I hope it works out okay. Had to laugh at Olive being smug tho
even I haven't managed to *increase* it!
I actually feel better today! In spite of going to bed at silly o'clock, it feels like the lurgy might finally have left me alone. Now as long as I can avoid swine flu in London on Friday, I have a chance at enjoying the trip to France.....2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I'm glad you are feeling better, KC.
Re the China trip - it was always going to be tight - life is like that for us, committing to "big" things then working out how to pay for them later!! But we do manage to do it......somehow.
It is a bit like the whole "deadline" stuff for work/assignments etc. I leave things to the last minute, then somehow manage to produce work of a reasonable quality on time - it is obviously a personality trait of mine, that has spilt over to the money side of things. Don't panic about how you will pay for it, you just know that you will :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Forgot my lovely leftover pasta lunch today - grr. But luckily remembered while I'd nipped into my mums on the way to work so managed to raid her cupboards, and will still have the pasta waiting for me for tomorrows lunch :T
So that should equal 2 NSD's...
I do have to take cat to the vet tonight (booster vaccination and he's got runny eyes poor thing) but that's coming from my esentials pot

Everything crossed here for you Hypno, for the arriving cheque.
Have I missed something, can you not phone and ask for a BACS payment, or even *where is it????* ? They must know that you are doing it because you need the extra income?0 -
Good morning Hypno, here's to a good day cash flow wise! I plan to have a NSD today, and hopefully one tomorrow to boost my miserable excuse for a collection (only 4 so far this month). Yah boo sucks to all rotten cars that syphon money from our pockets, and may the debtbusting continue. have a good day everyone. One life - your life - live it!0
