Morning Hypno, just been catching up on your diary, been a bit busy with little people lately! I totally agree with the insurance hiking, its a nightmare. My house insurance did the same thing this year, and like you I went somewhere else, you make no claims and it still goes up loads, then amazingly they can pick another figure out of nowhere to try and get you back. I did the same told them to get lost!:T Have a good day, and well done on debtbusting, way to go girl!

well, my cashback for the new insurance has validated already :D So that is something that I won't have to worry about or chase, and is a good sign of things to come!

Sorry you're so tired .... I saw you and Gerbil on the bingo last night! I've decided not to play it in the evening unless I'm actually doing something active on the computer. Keeping the laptop by me and fiddling about while I'm watching TV makes me incredibly restless when I go to bed, it loses me a couple of hours sleep, I just can't adjust to it. Sad but true.

I'm glad the insurance has validated tho, thats good news.

£350?! What the Hell?! What course does she do? I found that course text books are 50% cheaper on Amazon, that should help save and Quidco are offering cashback on Rymans I think so that's the stationary!

Anything else I can help to circumnavigate?!

My course cost me £150 for the year, but I had to buy a small mountain of books. I'm just shocked!
 Debt Free since July 2011 and it feels good!

Now it's all about finding a deposit for a house!

How do you amass £70k in a year?!

The bokshops hear uni will probably sell book second-hand so DD could try there. And the message boards in her department(s) will probably have private ads from last year's students/2nd years selling books on them.

    Hope that helps. x

Unfortunatley there is not one book in that cost - she is doing architecture - so its all specialist equipment and that doesn;t include CAD programmes etc next year!!!

    Thanks

Forgot to say DS has used Amazon and other 2nd hand book sites and shops for all his books - unfortunatley DD course is slightly different!

I thought you were going to say that!

And if that fails, just change her. Hell if the Sugababes can have none of their original lineup, what's stopping you swapping DD for a cheaper one?!:rotfl:
