pickle I have a four bedroom house, a double garage, a shed and a log cabin's worth of clutter :rotfl:
I have one bedroom and an attic's worth! Having said that, I'm a devious packer. I can get three times what a normal person can in a wardrobe. About half of my Ebay stuff has sold/looks like it will sell, so I'll be happy. If I can sell one particularly unusual (and valuable) lot, I'll be delighted, and I've managed to get rid of a pair of incorrectly-fitting shoes I've wanted to get rid of for absolutely AGES!Pity, as they are gorgeous! Still, it's all outoutout...:D

The other thing that I have discovered, and it seems to be a contradiction in terms, is a huge number of "re-usable bags".....you know, the cotton square bags that you get given at a county show, or other event, which have an awful marketing logo for "5 a day" or some firm of accountants, and which I am, presumably, expected to use every day instead of a carrier bag.......except the logos on are not exactly what I want to be seen with, so I end up more "reusable" bags than I will ever "reuse"
So, something that is supposed to be saving the planet, is going to end up in the bin......not the idea, I am sure!
What about using them for doing the shopping? They can't say aything worse than 'Tesco' or 'Sainsbury' or whatever, can they?!Please call me 'Pickle'

You brave thing tackling the decluttering! I hate it. Our loft just stores junk and I tackle it once a year, try and sell some stuff and it ends up exactly the same state 6 months later
Have you found anything worth selling? It will all be worth it when you finish...............finally1st debt - Next [STRIKE]£583.32[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£408.71 [/STRIKE] £0 :j

No, nothing that is worth selling, or at least nothing that is worth me making the effort to sell - others might have done so, but today it was all about getting stuff out of the house for good, and I have managed to do quite a bit of that, so that will be good enough for me for today!
Still a lot to do, but I've done enough for today.....won £10 on free b!ngo too, so *bonus*Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
We had a decluter day as well our garage is a garage again sons stuff has been reduced from the size of the full garage up to the rafters which had between it and our down stairs the entire contents of a three bedroom house to less half a dozen carboot boxes I have an uplift tomorrow but have found when I got up that half the stuff has been acquired by freegans which I think is utterly fantastic hopefully by the te the council come
to actually do the uplift there won't be anything to actually uplift.... And it feels good0 -

Those reusable bags with dire logos........couldn't you turn them inside out ?
Of course the truely crafty would turn them inside out stick odd and sods on them for decoration and then flog them at a boot sale or on ebay as one of a kind designer bags I suppose
