So, I got on the scales this morning and they laughed at me :o therefore day one of fighting the flab is well under way. Fruit, salad and chicken has been the order of the day. Nothing junk-like has passed my lips :A I'm trying to kickstart the weight loss for a week or two, and take it from there.......we will see how it goes, but of course it is all down to self discipline, which I sometimes have, and sometimes don't

*Groans* I need to join you...I moved out of my last dress size a while back and need to rejoin that clothing band ASAP: buying clothes in my new size costs a fortune and I don't even want to stay in my new clothing accomodation! I went running tonight for the first time ever, but ate two large cookies and drank a small bottle of coke today. :o I need to cut out the junk as I eat to much of it, it's destroying my teeth (the coke, that is), and I'm on the diabetes highway at this rate. Better get on with that new, healthy life I've been planning for a while, then...

It'll be sooooo worth it - and very MSE as there will be less spending on junk food, and no need to spend on bigger clothes :money:

Great minds, hypno, great minds...I've had that theory for a while, but have been delaying taking the abstinence plunge until the dissertation was over as I didn't reckon I could make it without both of the aforementioned sins. It turns out that the book on procrastination I read made me realised I've been doing lots of things inefficiently, increasing the stress in my life, and in my case that means eating loads of she-ite. I'm hoping to loose the dress size (and more!), but that will get me back into all the gorgeous designer clothes I bought at my last job. The only problem with that is that if I loose loads more through the running all the nice clothes I bought won't fit me anew but from the other side of the size problem, and there's no way I'm going back up! Still, that problem is a fair way off. I look forward to the day I can put the stuff I current wear up on Ebay. :T

  • Morning Hypno, I hope your scratching as I type ! On the foodie front I am known at work as a total chocoholic, always have something sweet stashed away somewhere, keeps the the sugar levels up ! But on the MSE front I probably spend £3 - 5 quid a week topping up my little stashes, so it stops - today.

Hi DC, yes I was scratching - withdrew £10 from virgin so that is a good start to the day......off to do banking in a mo.

Good luck with cutting out the sweet stuff - we can do this! We have all faced tougher things in life than this, so it should be a piece of cake :rotfl:

Right, banking done, and some mystery shopping money received.....so £36 transferred to the barclayloan offset :D

I have also opened another savings account - for new bedroom furniture for DD.....she currently has furniture that was made by FiL for OH when he was a boy (just a couple of years old then) which is decidedly past its best......I have repainted it every few years to try and freshen it up, but there comes a time for everything.........

DD has seen furniture that she likes in Next, which we would be able to get on 0% but I am determined to save up for it instead, and hopefully get it (or something similar from elsewhere) in the sales after Christmas.

    Off swimming in a minute

Nothing to report at the moment on any other topic!

Have a great sugar free day !!!!
