Good morning Hypno et al, hope this is the start of a good week for us all. Two weeks to payday and I am still within budget with my spending so fingers crossed I have some money left over at the end of the month, and not month left over at the end of the money!

Yes Carmargue. Lovely weather hot and sunny but not too "scorchio" that we couldn't walk or sightsee. plenty of bulls and horses rather than wine and terroir obsessions in the rest of Provence. Got back yesterday afternoon as got an earlier crossing on Eurotunnel than booked. Half empty at least. And very few UK tourists anywhere this year, so different from last year when we went later too.

Got back and wanted to flake but instead hosted farewell do for daughter and 9 friends (OH cooked and I found pud in freezer) as she is off today for a year in Russia as part of her degree. I don't know how my OH does it but he got up to drive her to the station at 6am, although he came back to bed after.

Afternoon - swam this morning - had a lane to myself for first 400m which was great!

Still trying to sort mums talktalk out

no surprises on banking either

Lucky you - I went at 7am & had to dodge the folks swimming along side by side talking & the oldies clogging up the ends of lanes (I'm not fast enough to go in proper lanes ). Still, managed 600m which is most I've done in years & in a 50m pool which seems much longer than 2 x 25 .

What is the point of a 50m pool though if it's only available for 50m swims twice a week for 1 hr :rolleyes:.

Having a serious month left over at end of money week & not paid till next Friday :eek:. Need to visit old style & knit some yogurt or something

Mine's not until next Wednesday......so I'll be knitting stardrops alongside gallygirl knitting yoghurt
