Could you enter another race to get you into the mood to train? I always have a few races in the pipeline so I have to keep going out or risk coming last!! It's such a shame you don't have a running club nearby. I know someone who advertised for people to go running and they ended up with their own running club. Because you don't have enough to do I'm sure

When I used to run, before I had the children (a million years ago), I would race most weekends......so I guess I need something really exciting and challenging to catch my attention and make me go out and run.....because I have run so many half marathons and 10ks in the past, it is not "new" any more, even though I would struggle to do one now! (if that makes sense!).
More excuses really - that's all it is :rotfl:

Hypno, I know what you mean about energy levels. I'm not running, but I'm going for long, brisk walks of an evening and I'm really enjoying it. I can't do much more, but it does keep me on a decent level of fitness nonetheless.0
