Kids and snotty noses, shaun.....oh the joys!
kirsten, still a long way to go, but definitely moving in the right direction. Once I get rid of the barclayloan, I will feel as though we are almost there, and the budgets might finally represent "normality".......whatever "normality" is :rolleyes:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. Ah "normality" , not sure I can even remember what that felt like!!!

Morning you guys.....hope you have a good day! It is still dry here, but there is more cloud forming, so anything is possible!
The children have done their paper rounds, and have got their stuff ready for going back to school tomorrow. I've got to do a bit of basic shopping - bread, milk etc but hopefully not much more than that.
It is strange not having a student! Normally we have another teenager to get ready for first day at school, but for the first time in 6 years, it is just my two! Odd!! But nice-odd! (I will miss the money though )Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. Oh i've got the same view from my window! Looks like a swimming day with DS today
Morning Hypno- glad the low key weekend has helped you to feel a little betterOne step at a time0 -
Yep, definitely a hurray for low-key weekends. I'm spoilt for choice for things to do during the daytime, but all of them are fairly boring ... ah well. As is said, when we're gloomy and trying to look on the bright side, better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Who wants to be normal? Not me
Glad you're having a nice weekend. Are the kids looking forward to school? Looks like the weather is going to be a bit pants but seeing as I was planning a lazy day sorting some paperwork I'm not too bothered.
Was it me or was property !!!!!! a bit dull again?? I'll have to play catch up on here to see if any appealed to you.
Aim for next week is to have pack lunch every day - managed last week (probably only because it was short one) and its amazing how much money that saves. Means I get less tempted by getting choccie /crisps / magazine etc whilst buying sandwich.Looking for the perfect home and saving to make becoming a MFW easier

Both children are looking forward to going back to school :j
Property !!!!!! was a bit dull, as you say. There were a couple but they were waay out of reach, and I didn't get round to posting any on here because a) I didn't have time and b) I was a grumpy cow on Friday!
It def makes a difference taking in food from home - I can easily spend £5 a day on lunch, and even then it is nothing special, so taking it in from home makes a big difference to me!
Just managed to set up my freebie matched bet for a profit of £30 later this evening - that's over half a square coloured in, and will greatly help my £10 a day challenge which is somewhat lacking in wonga!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground.
